Fabulous staycation
Always a wonderful stay at this fabulous hotel in our community. We take advantage of the locals special each year to book a corner 1 BD suite. We were on the top floor this time and had a great view of the Megler bridge and all the activity on the water. It was also foggy so we were lulled to sleep by and woke up to foghorns. Breakfast was wonderful with made to order omelettes, baked goods and sausages. Miss the Scandinavian breakfast and afternoon tastings but Bar 600 and waitstaff (kudos to Briana) are always fun, cordial and accommodating. Looking forward to the next locals special.

Wonderful experience with a few minor issues
Beautiful and unique property. Fantastic views of the Astoria-Megler bridge and the Columbia River. We arrived just as the sun was setting and it was breathtakingly beautiful. Our room (Deluxe King) was well designed and had nice amenities, including binoculars, Steeped Coffee bags (caffeinated and decaf), two types of Pat's Pantry tea bags, and a large bottle of filtered water. Cream was provided in the in-room refrigerator. We enjoyed the window seat, the gas fireplace, and the large clawfoot tub. The room also smelled really good. The staff members were friendly and helpful. There were a few cons, but not deal breakers for us: * As other reviewers have mentioned, the bed and pillows are too firm and the sheets are a bit rough. This was surprising for such a nice hotel. * The room was a bit noisy at night. We could hear loud thumps (like someone was dropping something heavy in the hallway or next door) during the night. One last thought -- if you like to sleep with a window open and it's foggy on the river, be warned -- passing ships and boats have very loud foghorns!

Thanksgiving at the Cannery
This was our second time staying at the Cannery and our first time having Thanksgiving there. We had an exceptional stay and a delicious Thanksgiving meal! Staff were wonderful! The views of the river were beautiful! It was lovely to have our meal brought to our room where we enjoyed it by the fireplace while watching the ships pass by. Overall, everything was very clean, no noise issues, and they were very accommodating of us and our dog. The Christmas decor was up (at least some of it) and it made for a festive and very relaxing holiday.

A beautiful place to get away!
We have come here for “Mom and Dad weekend away” for several years now. No matter the time of year, the view is captivating. We absolutely love the room setup, the bath tub, the fireplace, the steeped coffee, and the luxurious feel of the details. We were even able to have groceries delivered right to our room (via Instacart) to make use of the fridge and allow us to stay in for most of our trip. This was our first trip with a baby, and it was just as wonderful. We noticed one of the coffee mugs wasn’t thoroughly cleaned when we got in, and the water kettle also had what looked to be coffee residue that had to be rinsed out. Otherwise no complaints about service. We love what the hotel is doing with Bar 600, though I would say the food could be improved. The tasting plate had two tiny servings of salmon, the flatbread sauce was too garlicky, and neither the cider or wine tasted very good.

Relaxing get away
Beautiful hotel. Views from rooms are lovely- looking out at the River and bridge. Sea lions, bald eagles and lots of water fowl. Staff very welcoming.
