Welcome to the Chanticleer Inn, Ashland, Oregon’s longest-operating B&B. Housed in a 1920 Craftsman, and situated in a quiet, residential neighborhood just two blocks from the heart of downtown and four blocks from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Chanticleer enjoys one of the premier locations of any Ashland B&B. Lithia Park, shops, theaters, spas, galleries, restaurants and tasting rooms — all are just a short walk away.

Feels Like Home
This is our second four-night stay at Chanticleer. It is wonderful if you like the Arts and Craft vibe. Since the inn is in an old house, the rooms are not trendy or luxurious, but they are very comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. The inn is spotless and being in a residential area, silent at night. The outdoor patios are lovely. The innkeeper, Dean, serves fresh made breakfast of his choosing every day. While there is no menu, Dean adjusts his offerings for vegetarians. He is a baker, and there are fresh cookies every afternoon. The inn is a 10 minute walk from the OSF and Oregon Cabaret theaters, and 3 minutes to Main Street. One thing to know: The inn is up the hill from Main St., so if one has trouble walking uphill, it may be advisable to drive to the parking lot at OSF.

Fantastic stay!
We have been enjoying the Ashland area and local events for several years using hotels. While they have always been nice, the Chanticleer is our new go to spot to stay! The rooms, public areas, location and best of all breakfast made this stay special! Such a treat, I would recommend a stay for a night or more to enjoy the comfortable rooms and homey public areas!

Wonderful experience!
This was our first visit to Chanticleer Inn. We visited for our anniversary. Dean was a delightful host, the breakfasts were delicious, the rooms well appointed with comfortable beds and the living room inviting and cozy. The Inn is also within walking distance to down town Ashland and the Theatre. We will definitely visit again!

Cozy stay in fantastic Ashland in the fall
We had a delightful stay at this cozy and lovely B&B. Deann did a great job of making us feel welcome and at home. The rooms are well appointed and the breakfasts were delicious. It really made our three days of hiking, plays and good food memorable.
