Welcome to the Chanticleer Inn, Ashland, Oregon’s longest-operating B&B. Housed in a 1920 Craftsman, and situated in a quiet, residential neighborhood just two blocks from the heart of downtown and four blocks from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Chanticleer enjoys one of the premier locations of any Ashland B&B. Lithia Park, shops, theaters, spas, galleries, restaurants and tasting rooms — all are just a short walk away.

Such a wonderful place!
The Chanticleer Inn long has enjoyed a good reputation in Ashland, but under Angela's management the inn has risen to new heights. Angela has made the inn an oasis, a place worth staying in regardless of what Ashland has to offer. We stayed in the Garden Room, a pet-friendly room. Angela made our dog as welcome as she made us. The bed was very comfortable, and our room opened right onto the inn's lovely garden. So comfortable. So relaxing. We will be back!

You can’t find a better Bed & Breakfast
Where do I start? Angela was the best host I have EVER experienced at a Bed & Breakfast. Everyday we looked forward to breakfast. She made our taste buds sing. I felt like I was watching a cooking show. But the best part is we got to actually got to experience it. She is so creative and those dishes she puts together! So decadent and delicious. She always made sure you knew of all of the hidden local gems to experience in Ashland. If she knew we would be gone on a day trip she would pack yummy snacks for us. She is so knowledgeable and considerate. I cannot wait to go back. I hated leaving our beautiful room with the peaceful Mountain View. I left there feeling so full of gratitude but also a little melonchaly wishing I had booked a few more days. I will definitely be back soon.

Awesome experience from start to finish!
My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming inn for five nights in early July. Innkeeper Angela has thought of everything, and is quick to make you feel at home the moment you arrive. She gives a guided tour of the inn and surrounding grounds, and lets you know you're free to help yourself to the amenities she has provided, such as cold non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and tea, and daily home-baked brownies. (Oregon wines and snacks are available for purchase.) The breakfasts that Angela lovingly creates are delicious, and change daily. She is careful to adhere to any dietary restrictions one may have, but I'm glad we didn't have any! She seats several guests together to enhance conversation, and we met the most interesting people each morning. Breakfast is served promptly at 9:00 AM (she will make a "to go" breakfast for you if you have to be on your way sooner), so that gave me time to take an early morning walk, then sit on the front porch with my coffee and read. The inn is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Ashland, yet tucked on a pleasant, quiet side street in a residential neighborhood. Angela knows the Ashland area very well, and graciously takes time to provide recommendations for hikes, restaurants, shops, theatre -- you name it. I've always loved visiting Ashland, but Angela helped make this visit extra special!

Absolutely brilliant
We spent 3 days here in May as part of a road trip through Oregon. Chanticleer Inn is a absolute gem. We were made to feel really welcome by Angela- the host. It is beautifully appointed and very homely. The breakfasts were all individually crafted every morning. It has a great homely feel and is a vey easy walk to all the attractions in town. If you get the chance book it!
