From the food, guides, guest experience, river history knowledge, and overall experience they receive a well deserved 5-star from our crew! Best part???? We ❤️ Winding Waters! Best trip ever.
We had THE BEST trip down Hells Canyon with the Winding Waters crew. Super competent guides who were so friendly and very knowledgeable about the natural and human history of the canyon. They are dialed and it shows! Great mix of options with something for everyone. We did a combination of relaxing on the beaches, swimming, fishing, and hiking. During the day, some of us stayed in the rafts with the guides and others ventured out in inflatable kayaks. This was a first whitewater experience for some of our group and they felt very safe and gained a ton of skills! The food was excellent too -- how often does someone cook you salmon and pineapple upside down cake while you sit in the river?! 10/10 would recommend.

An excellent trip led by superb guides. Well organized, the guides were knowledgeable, very competent and great fun. The meals were the best.

A great three days on the Grande Ronde!
What a relaxing trip! Robin, Becca, and Hannah were not only experienced river guides, but they handled all the camp chores, cooked delicious meals, and were charming hosts. I'm already looking forward to traveling with Winding Waters in Hell's Canyon next year.

Great Trip!
Loved the trip. Spent 3 days floating the Grande Ronde, and enjoyed the whole thing. Would highly recommend these people. Guides were very nice, and professional. Very easy going, and welcoming. Did a good job remaining neutral and dispassionate when conversations went towards environmental concerns and politics - can't have been easy, but they did it. The food was fantastic! The group I was with was fed very well, from Thai wraps, Vietnamese sandwiches, salmon, and even eggs benedict for breakfast at camp. A couple guys had a birthday to celebrate, so the guides made a cake too. I am not aware of any guest who had a bad experience on this trip. Highly recommend, if you are considering it at all.
