Recognition Programs

Rare Earth Adventures provides outdoor guide services and educational courses in the Pacific Northwest.

Guided trips include but are not limited to summiting Mt. St. Helens, summiting Mt. Adams, backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail (women’s and LGBTQIA+ dates available), back-country skiing and split-boarding, and snowshoeing. Don’t see an activity here, or want a special trip just for your group? Rare Earth is happy to work with you to arrange a private tour.

Rare Earth frequently partners with the non-profit organization Climb for Hope, to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis and breast cancer on fundraiser climbs on Mt. Rainier, Pico de Orizaba, and in the Grand Canyon.

    Adventure skills, wilderness fun adventure!

    Our 4 day trip on the PCT from Washington to Oregon with Rare Earth adventures exceeded my expectations!! Our guides Kaylee & Nastia were professional, highly skilled, and taught us so much for future adventures! Their well thought out packing guidance, routes, skills training, and side adventures were top notch. Book the trip!

    Wonderful experience

    I just completed a 4-day hike of the PCT in Oregon with guides Kaylee and Nastia. I was apprehensive about this hike because I only started preparing a few months before the trip. Both Kaylee and Nastia were extremely encouraging, knowledgeable, and looked out for my safety. They both were also fun, interesting and a blast to get to know. I also really enjoyed hanging out with the other 9 women on the trip who ranged in age from 17 to 67 and were all from different parts of the US and from different walks of life. I highly recommend Rare Earth Adventures!

    A wonderful adventure & learning experience

    I'm just back from this amazing adventure- a 4-day women's-only trek on the PCT. This trip married beautiful scenery with learning the skills to allow me to continue trekking in the future. Our guides Kaylee & Nastia were the perfect pair- drawing on their vast experience & openness to questions & sharing. The trip drew a wonderful group of interesting & active women. I'd highly recommend Rare Earth & this trip!

    You are never too old to do this. You CAN do this!

    The guides were amazing! Kaylee went beyond my expectations for my wacky/severe dietary restrictions. The view were spectacular and the friendships created were a huge plus. We all pushed our bodies beyond what what we knew possible; however, even the skeptical and uncertain made it!

    Best ever 4 days as a beginner of the PCT

    My sister and I joined a 4 day 3 night womans only beginners backpacking trip of a segment of the PCT. As a beginner backpacker, it provided me with exactly what I was looking for: knowledge on how to backpack, how much weight I could carry and how many miles I could go per day, as well as the most amazing outdoor scenery ever. Kaylee and Delaney were the best guides providing a mix of guidance while letting us work on the skills ourselves. I am looking forward to trying this type of adventure again. Highly recommend.
