Joseph Oregon Paddle (JO Paddle) specializes in providing a one-of-a-kind recreational experience where guests have the opportunity to explore the breathtaking Wallowa Lake above AND below the surface in a glass bottom kayak. It’s a fun peaceful activity that’s great for everyone.

JO Paddle offers 1, 2 and 3 hour rental options delivered twice a day to the north end of Wallowa Lake. With a choice of a Glass Bottom Kayak that fits up to two guest (up to 425 lbs) or a Glass bottom Stand-up Paddle (SUP) Board. They also rent out recreational kayaks for fishing or for a beach day.

When you book with Joseph Oregon Paddle, they meet you at the north end of Wallowa Lake and give you a quick safety brief of the lake and some cool places to check out.

They provide all guests with individual PFD and Drybags for your belongings or waterproof phone case, and they always offer water and sunscreen if needed at no charge.

JO Paddle's priority as a family run business is to make sure all guests are safe and have everything they need to have an amazing adventure on Wallowa Lake.

In addition to day rentals, JO Paddle also offer a one-of-a-kind Glass Bottom Kayak LED Guided night tour.

    Fantastic!

    Once in a lifetime experience that I hope to do again! Better than expected. Interesting history of the town too! The boats were in excellent condition! The water was so clear you could see the fish. Just do it 🩵

    Great nighttime kayak tour

    Matthew was a great guide. He is a wealth of information about the lake, its history, geography, even its weather. He and Robert took great care to make our experience enjoyable. The kayaks we took are clear so we could see into the water and they took us near the dam where we saw several fish below or kayaks. They are great guides and we highly recommend them.

    Lighted Clear Kayak Tour

    We were out on the water as the sun went down and the stars came out. I saw 2 shooting stars. Our guide gave us information about the geology, history, native Americans, the story of Wally, the lake monster, and even info on where to see the local spots where Homeward Bound was filmed. Such a cool experience. Worth every penny.

    Great fun! Lightweight clear kayak. Fun watching the bubbles go by along the bottom of the boat as I paddled the length of the lake. Great sights. Took lots of pics. Matthew, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Squeezed me in on a busy day with no advance reservation, and let me run a little longer than scheduled at no extra charge. Great experience! I left a huge tip. Highly recommended for kids and adults. --Fred
