Best family vacation ever
We had beau for our guide , he saved us through boxcar rapids ! We were overloaded and 3 women couldnt paddle ..ive went for 13 years knew we were in trouble but we didnt flip . Beau was great with the kids riding the ( bull) and swimming when safe . Make sure the lodge doesnt have a wedding going on they close everything , bar, restaurant, grass outside spaces , our kids swim until dark with life jackets in river..they couldnt sat nite due to wedding.. make reservations at riverside restaurant n walking distance from lodge great food & bar ..the best thing the lodge did was bring a professional photographer to take pics of raft trip , there were 16 of us everyone wants to join now! Very well maintained park. Good internet and water pressure ( check your regulator). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the food in the lodge. They ran out of everything including popular local draft beer. I hope this was a management issue that can be fixed. All in I had a great stay and visited some local pubs and that was nice.

A place for river-loving folks of all ages.
Everything was very thoughtful and the setting is sublime. Staff and restaurant are wonderful and this is a place where you should come if you want to enjoy the river. Those who curate this gem understand what is special about the location and they have made the rooms, atmosphere, facilities and services exactly what river loving outdoor folks will appreciate.

Van life trip
The location of this RV site is amazing. You can literally back your rig into the site and the Deschutes is 10 feet away. It’s wonderful to fall to the sound if the river. Freight trains come through in the middle of the night, but they dint use their horns and their lights are not too bright so it’s not really disturbing. Bathrooms and ground are well kept and staff was very responsive to questions. I would highly recommend.
