This is such a wonderful find! We stayed in the Koosah cabin. It was beautiful and comfortable. Everything we could need was provided. On arrival there was even a basket of necessities and treats for our dog. They even have a selection of movies, games, and puzzles to borrow. They truly think of everything. The hosts were available if we needed anything and very friendly and helpful with advice for nearby hikes. From pictures, I was concerned it wouldn’t feel very private or quiet, but that wasn’t not the case at all. There is definitely the feel of being immersed in nature and we enjoyed walking the little trail along the river. This is a place we would love to come stay again.

Relaxing Cabin Stay
Had a wonderful retreat for two at the Koosah cabin. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the necessary tools, even a zester! We savored the tranquility of Horse Creek while dining on the porch. The trail to the creek was well-maintained, perfect for a peaceful morning or evening stroll. The grounds were so serene at night that we didn't hear any other guests. During our stay, we hiked to the Blue Pool. I highly recommend this hike, but be sure to arrive at the trailhead early.

Worth Every Dollar!
Our ride down the McKenzie River was amazing! Karyn was absolutely WONDERFUL ! She is a VERY knowledgeable and personable and delightful guide on the River. We LOVED every minute of it. Her master navigation abilities made us feel safe and still enjoy the trip down. Be sure to ask her to do a 360 Degree Russian Roulette Maneuver - aptly named because you don’t know who’s gonna get soaked ! Oh yeah - if she asks if you want to ‘Ride the Bill’ or ‘Swim the Vortex’ - say YES !!!

Exceptional service
My friends and I take a backpacking trip every year, and this was one of the best campsites we have visited and friendliest staff. The customer service was exceptional! Both Gary and Alisa were so friendly and helpful. We loved visiting and appreciated all the help we received while backpacking the McKenzie River Trail.

Great place to stay and play!
Great camp sites, private, owners were very accommodating and responsive! We went river rafting and it was a fun-packed day where we learned a lot about rafting as well as the history of the area and other fun things to do during our vacation. Would absolutely stay at Horse Creek again, whether it be cabins or campsite, as they had a great set up throughout and access to everything we needed.
