Bed & Breakfasts

Why just visit a place when you can experience it like a local?

Staying at a bed & breakfast means discovering historic houses, eating home-cooked meals and getting the inside scoop to the area’s best attractions. With nearly 200 B&Bs statewide, Oregon has a special homestay in almost every community.

Filmed in Oregon

You might be surprised to find out some of your favorite flicks were filmed with Oregon as the backdrop – or maybe you’ve been dreaming of visiting the Oregon Coast ever since the first time you saw The Goonies. Here’s how to tour some of Oregon’s most iconic filming locations.

Farms & Ranches

At Oregon’s farms & ranches, you’re part of the family.

Sure, you can pick up fresh berries, pears and eggs at an Oregon farm; but you can also often feed the goats, dig up the carrots and stay overnight in the farm’s guest cottage.  And Oregon ranching families are carrying on an old tradition with real working dude ranches where you can ride among the cattle during the day and eat dinner under a starry sky.

Sports

Whether you’re an expert athlete or an expert spectator, get in on the action in Oregon.

Oregon is a premier destination for sports fans, offering incredible fan energy and enthusiasm. We have college football (Go Ducks/Beavs!), NBA action with the Portland Trail Blazers, world-class track and field at Hayward Field in Eugene, and thrilling soccer matches with the Portland Timbers and Thorns FC.

Whether you’re planning a sports-themed vacation or want a fun thing to do while you’re visiting, Oregon’s dynamic sports scene delivers.

Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding

It’s a true winter wonderland at Oregon’s ski areas.

Discover snowy peaks, loaded cornices and deep powder stashes. Around the corner, there’s a layer of white carpeting the bunny hill and a feathery dusting for the small upturned faces zipping down it. Here’s how to hit the slopes around the state.

Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing

What do we love about cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in Oregon? It takes all comers.

Choose your own pace through beautiful tree-lined corridors and around sparkling blue lakes. And don’t forget to bring the hot chocolate.

Ski Areas & Sno-Parks

Welcome to the new home of Ski Oregon — a different look with the same feel.

Choose from 13 outstanding skiing and snowboarding areas in Oregon, from cloud-scraping black-diamond runs at Mt. Hood Meadows and Mt. Bachelor to simple slopes for beginners. You can even rent an entire mountain for the day. Or pull over at one of Oregon’s Sno-Parks for cross-country skiing, sledding and tubing. The opportunities are endless and nearly year-round.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is pretty much what it sounds like; you stand on a long, floaty surfboard and propel yourself forward through the water with a paddle.

For the fitness-minded it’s a great workout with the balance required of yoga and the arm and core strength of kayaking. At the Coast, it’s an added level of challenge for surfers. And in Bend (home to surfing legend Gerry Lopez and Kialoa paddle company), SUPers take to the flat water on the Deschutes River and Cascade lakes.

Rafting

Oregon’s mighty rivers — including many designated Wild and Scenic — offer miles of thrills.

Experts come from far and wide to guide here, which means it’s easy for even beginners to take a trip down the river.
