3 Days of Riverside Luxury at Astoria’s Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa

Sponsored
April 15, 2024
The artsy town of Astoria in the northwest corner of Oregon has always been a harmonious mix of old and new — a sentiment that also rings true for the town’s iconic Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa, the only luxury retreat in the area. Since opening in 2005, the hotel has captivated travelers with its enchanting views of the Astoria-Megler Bridge and Columbia River, and heritage design that pays tribute to Astoria's maritime history. At the center of the voluminous tank, a bubbler aerates the water and circulates the seaweed, ensuring each plant gets enough sunlight. The swirling fronds pop up and down in the water like an aquatic art installation. Out in the wild, this seaweed grows in flatter, deep-red leaves on wave-beaten intertidal rocks,... More
