Rockaway Beach Resort

Rockaway Beach Resort is a single site, shareholder-operated resort affiliated with DAE, RCI & Interval International. ALL units are Oceanfront and are nestled on the northern Oregon coast between two of Oregon’s finest fishing bays. The surrounding area offers plenty for everyone.

On-site, you can enjoy the recreation room, indoor pool, sauna, and Jacuzzi. Or you can gear up for boating, crabbing, clamming and all types of fishing in Nehalem and Tillamook-Garibaldi Bays as well as all of the area lakes. We also have crabbing & clamming equipment we check out to owners & guests. We also sell the shellfish license you’ll need to do both of those activities.

Hiking on numerous state park trails will provide fabulous vistas and give nature lovers ample bird, whale and wildlife watching opportunities.

Public golf courses are nearby, and the local villages provide a variety of galleries, artists’ and craft studios, museums, antique shops, seafood restaurants and waterfront exploration.

Shareholders often place their time in a rental pool, so conventional rental space is frequently obtainable. Exchanges through DAE, RCI, Interval International and other exchange organizations are also available. The Portland airport is about 90 miles away.

I agree with previous reviews that the units are outdated, and the furniture layout was a bit awkward, but my unit was clean, and the view and beach access was absolutely unbeatable. The location along the coast allowed easy access both north and south to enjoyable day trips and Rockaway Beach was a destination itself. I knew in advance the balconies were inaccessible but was still able to enjoy the view and take many stunning pictures from the threshold. Every interaction with staff was friendly and helpful. I can't wait to visit again.

Bad experience

This must be the worst RCI resort I have ever been in. Furniture old and tacky. Carpets dirty, no dish washer in unit. One got a list of what to do when you leave the unit, like strip the bed and put soiled linens and towels in a provided case, wash the dishes, empty the trash. The balconies could not be used because of structural problems. But the really bad thing was the Drones which were allowed on the property. I felled spied on since my privacy was invaded with them floating in front of the balconies. The only good thing about this resort was the view.

This property in no way meets minimum requirements expected from a resort property. Rooms are extremely outdated and furniture is worn and dirty. No dishwasher, elevator, oven, shampoo and conditioner were available. Mandatory cleaning instructions were issued with penalties if not accomplished. No help available for carrying suitcases and other items up the stairs.

The view is amazing, that is it. We went to use the sofa bed and it was so gross with human hair and other dirt we closed it right up and used a couple sheets to cover the couch to sleep on. The carpets are old and dirty, wall paper is falling off the walls. The balconies are unusable. Very disappointing

Great escape

Great get-away to the Oregon coast. Ocean views were fabulous and the resort met or exceeded our expectations. Free movies and the staff was friendly and helpful. The recreation room was being refurbished, but the pool and hot tub were available.We would love to come again.
