Located in scenic Merrill, Oregon, the Wild Goose Lodge Motel dates back to the cabin court era of the 1930s. The earliest confirmed date of origination is from a cement slab found next to the rooms dated April 10, 1946. The Wild Goose Lodge Motel was built as a motor hotel type accommodation that offered the weary motorists a welcome place to stop and rest for the night. Although renovated, the building still retains the rustic look to remind guests of that early iconic motoring era. In addition to motel accommodations, Wild Goose Lodge also offers cabin rentals and RV spaces.

Wild Goose Lodge was Great!
Quiet, clean, comfortable, rustic, and dog friendly rooms. Family owned and run. Very friendly and helpful folks. Easy check in and out. Parking is right outside your door. Refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker. Toiletries - Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and razor included. I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

Comfortable, friendly lodging
This is a nicely kept motel with a couple of cabins, RV spaces, as well as quiet, clean, comfortable rooms. The rooms have air conditioning as well as a mini refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment which I really appreciate to refresh my ice packs. Parking is right outside your room. This is a family run business. The owners are on site and are very accommodating and friendly.

Fantastic Stay!
Amazing!! I shared it was my granddaughter, Malin's birthday trip and we were traveling to Malin, OR. They had a nice gift bag, with a birthday card and Smore's kit for us to use at the firepit in the courtyard. The room was basic, comfortable bed, TV, coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. We woke up to birds chirping and an owl in the morning. It was clean and 'lodge' like. We loved it and we will be back with the personalized service, rate and location!!!!

Little gem
Easy check in. Very clean rooms and we did not have any noisy neighbors. Bed was a little firm for me but the other ladies had no complaints. Everything in the rooms seem to be updated. There is a cute little courtyard. Chairs outside each room so you can gather and sit.

Unassuming but outstanding lodge!
We stayed one night on our way to Lassen. Our host at the lodge was incredibly helpful about where to go and things to see. The room was perfectly equipped: well designed bathroom with shelves in just the right places, shampoo and other necessaries (including a razor!) all provided, the beds were wonderfully comfortable, excellent places to store things at night and good reading lights, easy to control TV, a quiet and very efficient AC unit (which was so needed when we were there). Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. And for what it’s worth it is in contrast to the quality of our stays at least a couple of other places on our vacation - which were all considerably more expensive and even though the people were all pleasant there was always one or more things that needed to be worked on. Not so at Wild Goose - they run a great place. It may look unassuming but you’ll enjoy your stay!
