Very enjoyable and relaxing
Nicole and Jason keep the park immaculate. Restrooms are clean and kept. The laundry room is kept and has the small detergent boxes available to purchase. You can rent a fire pit to enjoy an outside fire. They greeted us when we arrived and showed us where our sites were located. We were there a month and every day the family would walk around the park. There are activities in the grass area and each week when it was dark enough they had a movie night outside. My wife and I can’t wait to spend August 2026 at Sumpter RV Park.

Shady park with some pluses and some negatives!
The photo here is outdated, and the park has since been sold to another couple, so the rates have increased to $45/$50 per night. The nicer pull-through sites are the higher cost, and I hear they offer a military discount so ask if you qualify! Mosquitoes are bad due to the dredge ponds nearby and some years they can be unbearable so prepare for that if you can. Restrooms/showers are clean 99% of the time. This park is full in the summer and gets high use so keeping up with the volume of folks in and out can be a chore, I'm sure! WiFi works intermittently. We had a full park when we were there, and it was not keeping up with that many on it. Early morning and late nights it worked pretty well. This place really needs the oil on the roads or at least gravel brought in on the roads which would help greatly. We had site 15 which is right by the road so dust was constant from passing vehicles. It was a well shaded spot which is good. Some if not most of the sites had that powdery dust which makes it hard to camp in. Gravel would sure help there as well. They have a dump station on site which brings in traffic, increasing the dust and noise. You must book 6-8 months in advance, but the website is easy to navigate. Ice and propane sold on site if you need it and laundry room is there as well. Traffic from the highway is constant if you are in one of the spots near the road, it is more prevalent and always leash your dog as you need to keep tabs on them so they can be cleaned up after. There were doggie poop bag dispenser's but they were empty and never filled so bring your own as needed. Overall, it is not to bad of an RV park to stay at in Sumpter but be prepared for the UTV's and dust as Sumpter has been found out and it is super busy now in the Summer!

Great Park
My husband and I spent 3 nights at Sumpter RV park in our 5th wheel. We had a wonderful time. The park is beautiful, and well maintained. The restrooms are spotless. I've never seen restrooms so well cared for and clean. We had a nice pull through site, with full hookups. We had a good WIFI connection that allowed us to stream on our devices. The price was fantastic. We stayed for 3 weeknights and got the third night free. The little down of Sumpter is just one mile away, and offers some fun things to see and do. We enjoyed the tour of the dredge, and the museum. We would not hesitate to visit again.

Beautiful park and great place to stay!!!!
Sumpter RV Park is wonderful! We stayed Sunday through Friday and loved every minute! The park is beautiful and in the trees. The owners have done a fantastic job with the landscaping and planning of the park. They thought if everything possible!! Everything was clean and usable. The owners are friendly and helpful! We’d recommend this park to anyone looking for a nice place to stay that’s also affordable!

Wonderful place
I recommend staying. The owners went out of there way to make sure everyone had everything they needed. They were so kind and accommodating. The restrooms were very clean. The park is well laid out. They provided us with a map of the trails around to ride. Great fun! We will be going back!
