Right on the Chetco River. This is a Tent camping review. The tent camping is essentially on a big grass field. Plenty of space; not crammed with another camper. Clean showers & restrooms. Free use of their patio refrigerator/freezer and propane barbecue. Definitely recommend this site over every other site in Brookings.
I love to camp and I found this to be the most friendliest campsite I have ever visited. It's a home away from home. The park is beautifully decorated with beautiful trees, flowers and benches you could sit for hours and watch the river. Everyone is so friendly. We tented it for a week, this campsite has a kitchen sink to wash dishes, bathrooms, showers, washers and dryers I am so glad I did my homework. I will definately stay here again and I have already stated recommending this place to my friends.
When our camping plans for July 4th weekend fell through, we found excellent accommodations in the overflow and tent area of Riverside RV...a group of 12 including 6 kids, 3 vehicles, 2 utility trailers, and a camper. The facilities were clean and well tended even tho this is primarily for big rig long-termers apparently. And the owner/manager was completely gracious and thoughtful as we're the regular patrons.
As soon as we turned down the driveway we could see flowers,the grounds are some of the nicest I've seen.The river was easily accessible , a very peaceful idyllic spot. Got great sleep . Nice outdoor seating at riverside and at the trailer space . Close to the ocean and town .
Saw Riverside RV form the highway after checking out a few other places and found this little paradise on the Chetco River. Really nice and welcoming owners. Tuck away along the river and out of the windy oceanside. Great facilities, hot, clean showers, clean bathrooms, good Wifi/internet connection!!
