One of those happy accidents!
In a near panic we were desperate to find an RV park near Astoria and were having no luck. That was until we found Klaskanine RV Park. I read reviews and was a bit nervous, but, had no choice. The owner was very nice on the phone and I felt better about it. We found it after getting lost :( and pulled in to discover it was an RV park behind the owners house. Looked like people were living there but I try not to judge. We had a lovely spot facing a huge flat grassy area alongside the river. Giant play area and beautiful flowers all around us. Yay! We pulled in and hooked up and stayed 2 nights. Really convenient to Astoria 11 miles away and it was very quiet and homey. Felt great to be there and nothing like I imagined. I would recommend this place to people who want out of the big, crowded parks. Full hookups too! Small part of the river is accessible behind the park.

Summer of 2015
I came here on a whim, from the great southern land of Georgia, which apparently some people in Oregon have never heard of... After taking a seasonal job in the area for the summer... Upon arriving, the owner greeted me, and before he had to ask, I paid him the $20 for the night, mentioning that I might decide to stay for a few months. He said he would give me two nights to decide. After the second night after having explored the entire property, I decided to go ahead and pay the price for the full month.. The months that I stayed there, it was a roller coaster ride of adventure. I met some of the local flora and fauna, and was consumed with my overtime job... but in the meantime, this place offered me a place to reside in, and camp... and despite a few scares, I felt safe. It WAS scary though.. I was tent camping, and for the better part of the summer( JUne, July, AUgust-Sep....)))), I was the ONLY person camping... by myself, alone, next to a well known salmon stream, by a main highway with no gates or fences or anything.... I found myself waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, sometimes paralyzed with fear, and other times walking out of the tent wth my hatchet just to see a herd of deer, or salmon run at the river( in late summer) The WEATHER is perfect, NO MOSQUITOES at all, and NO TICKS.. it was a miracle for me as a Georgia Boy to have seen this... The rain can almost not at all, two or three times at all did it rain... and mostly near the beginning of the summer. The Temperature here is like 70-80 during the day in the summer, and breezy ,and at night in the upper to mid 60's.. EVERY DAY for like 3 months straight... It truly is a paradise, weather wise. Not to mention there is a crazy awesome state, county, and local fair not too far away, and the ocean just within a stones throw.. and good stores, lots of groceries and such nearby... My one discount to this place is that the owners for the most part try to run it as a business and it's sort of like a secret society, so if you're in , you are in, and if you're out they will evict you.. I never got evicted, but I did see like 3 other people/families get kicked out during my stay there,.....But it was for local jurisdiction reasons, which I understand... I met both of the owners personally and they are nice and kind, but also very smart... Over all a GREAT place to stay and I CAN'T WAIT to go back!

What a Perfect Place to Camp and RV!
If you are looking for the peace of camping in the country on a river, this is the place!!! I stayed here for a week with my family and our RV and 2 tents. It was beautiful and tranquil with the river in the background..nothing like waking up to deer just feet from your tent and the sound of the river was breathtaking. There is a small park for the kids to play and a lot of place for them to run. The RV site was huge and we had all the hookups we needed. We were just about 10 miles from the beach and there was fishing places everywhere in the area. Up the road about 2 miles was an elk reserve and we were able to go many times just to watch all the herds and babies. We even saw a pure white elk...what a treat. There are also huge waterfalls both up the road about 5 miles and down the road about 2 miles from the RV park. We will be back without a doubt. The people who own the park are fabulous and they gave us all of the information we needed to find all of the gems in this area. The grounds were clean and they spend a lot of time and upkeep on the property. The bathrooms and showers were always clean. The prices were posted and when we called to make reservations they asked what we had as far as RV and tents and how many people would be staying for how long. It was a very simple transaction and they take credit cards...Easy as pie! Awesome place to stay!

DISHONEST OWNERS....
They charged me $50 more than they quoted me and when I reminded them of what they said the guy said, "the rate just went up right now." I kept trying to reason with him and he started yelling at me.......... They seemed so nice on the phone and trustworthy, so they really shocked me with being scam artists. Also, the RV park is a backyard and if you need a shower/ bathroom you have to go into the owner's house.
