Okay, off-beat luxury with potential.
This place has so much potential! We booked a mid-week, off-season time, NO ONE else really there, other than the cute rabbits running amuck. Check in was supposed to be via some website, but it wouldn't let me register. The staff sent us text messages initially, and were responsive, but the following day, no response to texts. At check in, needed to call the main number to get the gate code and key code, along with wifi information. Wifi was good. We initally booked Kumbaya, as we live in a midmod home and love anything midmod, kitchy. Received a message that the heater was out in that trailer, so we switched to Arrowhead. It's the closed one to the restrooms, which could be good or bad, depending. Quiet this time of year. The trailer was updated, well-appointed with amenities, but still a bit shabby with broken window nobs, etc. It was FREEZING in there, took a long time to heat up. We had our two pups with us, so this Airstream was a good size. It's location is right across from the beach, close to a small bakery and store. Simple and quiet. Our first night was fine, though a bit chilly, but the next day we started to smell propane. My husband turned off the unit that we smelled, but later in the day, we smelled it again, wafting into the trailer. Was quite strong by evening, and I was getting a headache. Tried to reach staff but no one responded. Not feeling comfortable staying, we packed up and headed back home to Portland. The following day, staff were responsive, and apologized, were looking into the gas issue. They did refund out second night. I would love to try them again, perhaps in summer, when it's a bit busier with more resources available. We stay at the Vintages Trailer Resort in Dayton, OR frequently; they have a super nice pool, firepit area, shower facilities, nice small store/lobby, and great outdoor areas. If Hart's improved on this, they'd be much more successful.
