Horrible place to stay
This place is a complete and utter failure, the campsite for tents are horrible and staff is pretty tweaked out and there tweaker friends also live on the top of the tent sites the tent sites have rocks for fire pits and no grill at all no water near your site ,and the cars going by are right above you ,food is horrible at the restaurant and bathrooms are really far away from sites lake is full of algae and gross this is the worst camp I have ever been to they will not refund you money if you decide not to stay and it's 30.00 a night what a rip off I would definitely think twice about staying at this campground.
No accountability for their own negligence
Beware of booking at this resort and their No Refund Policy! We prepaid and booked a cabin for a 3 night stay. We were informed that is was being remodeled, and upon arrival the remodel had not been finished, The hot water heater and stove were not functional. Window trim was not completed. We also noticed a very strong chemical smell making it impossible to spend any time inside the cabin. Check in was supposed to be 3 pm. At 4:30 pm the repairs had not been complete and the replacement parts were not on premise. We requested an immediate cancellation, and full refund for the stay. We were denied a refund, and told that even though it was no fault of our own, there policy stood. We left and will never return. As asseverate not the Lake is full of Green Algea, toxic to animal, please beware.
Pretty dumpy. New owners but there is a lot that needs to be done. Restaurant was ok. Can only hope time will help them improve. Bathrooms were nasty and had to pay with quarters. Not a good practice. Also charged a pet fee. Not cool. ……………………….
nasty mean selfish owner during a natural disaster
i was hiking the pacific crest trail from canada to mexico and had to stop because of the fires and exit the trail at fish lake lodge,my phone only had wifi signal and the owner would not give me the password for the lodge so i could call for help to get a ride out to safty,he said it was private, and also he said if they have to evacuate he was going to blow his horn and leave, everybody is on their own, what a jerk. you think he cares about his guests, all this and i even paid 18 bucks for a hamhurger lunch.
Hoping for a relaxing summer RV trip
Arrived before 2 p.m. and the space was empty and ready for us. We were told we had to wait until 2 p.m or pay $10.00 extra to occupy it! The restrooms were unkept and very rudimentary! The RV spaces were so close to each other that it felt like we were in an apartment! We grew up here in Southern Oregon, but will never camp at Fish Lake again.
