Cute and Calm
This little campground was perfect for us! We tent camp and love to explore in the midst, in Gearhart you're basically right in the middle of Cannon beach and Astoria. The provide showers and their biscuits and gravy are bomb in the morning. It's not that fancy glamping mumbo jumbo but it's just right if you wanted to go to the coast and tent camp! I highly recommend Bud's, the staff is sweet and helpful if you're nice and patient in return ;)

Best thing - right off the road -worsw thing - right off the road
Spent one night. Being right off the road it was noisy. Loved the oriental restaurant right next door but hubby didn't. Laundry room and bathroom were clean. The next day we drove down the Oregon Coast.

To much traffic noise.
Pros: On Hwy 101, all gravel, well kept, clean, well-stocked store on site. The water pressure was good. The sites were on the smaller side but okay. The campground is very close to little used beach access where you can drive on the beach. Cons: On Hwy 101. The traffic noise was never ending. We were in the RV row farthest from the street. Even with two fans for white noise the traffic was still overwhelming. Then there are the delivery trucks that park behind the store and leave their trucks running while they deliver. We never got a good night’s sleep while we were there. We could never count on their Wifi as it continually went out. The pet walking areas were very small. There was one at each end of the park. There were about the size of our motorhome. I tried to find an alternate place to walk the dog but walking along Hwy 101 was hazardous and the neighborhoods in the area did not have sidewalks.

Rip off village
We were given a grassy camp site on top of the septic tank, no electrical and no close water, BR a block away. Trash dumpster full to overflowing and stinking all for $50.00 a night same rate charged to permanent RVers with full hook up. If one pays attention to details this park rips off campers. Road noise which couldnt be helped was sleep disturbing. The people routinely "walking the dogs" to pee all over the grassy area 4 times a day. At least they picked up the dog do do The nerve to charge $50/night!!!! Captive audience beware

Tent campers beware!
Most sites are on the septic mound, which is why "tent stakes longer than 8 inches are strictly forbidden". We thought we were lucky to be assigned a spot on solid ground, however the trade-off was we were down wind from very full dumpsters. Three days later the trash had not been picked up and it was, well...it reaked! for $50.00/night we would have been better off in the Wal-mart parking lot!
