Impromptu stop and I couldn’t have picked a better spot! Bruce, the owner, is exceptionally helpful and went the extra mile to assist in unexpected needs. Secure clean nice bathhouses. Spacious spots. Nice setting. Campground is expanding and will be amazing in summer 2020.
What a Great RV campground
Bruce could not be a better host. Even though we were in the new sites in back, he made sure were well taken care of from escorting us to our site to making sure our cable hookups were working. The sites are all being upgraded so we didn't have a sewer hookup but knew about it going in. The laundry is new and well maintained. We cant wait to come back when the landscaping is all in. This is the perfect setting for an RV/ camping park! Kudos to Bob. He's Bruce's son and is a great asset to his dad and the park. Come see them!
Camped over 4th of July weekend with friends. Had a GREAT time! The park was very quiet and well kept. The shower facilities exceeded my expectations. The onsite Manager, Bruce, is very friendly. He often checked in with us to make sure everything was a-ok.
Good place to stay
I have stayed here twice, and found it a good place to stop and rest while traveling north. Staff is friendly, the grounds are clean and well maintained. What I like the most is that the sites in the older section are well spaced so you aren’t on top of each other. There are paths to hike behind the park that we really like. Pet friendly.
One of the best RV parks on a cross-country trip
So let me start by saying our preferred camp setting is the mountain woods and the more private the better. We just finished a trip from Florida to Oregon and on the very last night, camped (travel trailer) at Big Pines. This place was awesome all the way around. The sites are spread out with enormous pull-throughs and full 50-amp hookups. The sites are situated so you really have the feel that you are camping in the woods, but without the hassles of dry camping or being in an RV park. Doing this full time for 3-4 months out of the year, you get tired of completely dry camping to get a good site or sitting slide out to slide out with your neighbor in RV parks to get the convenience. This place was a great surprise in the 9th inning of our trip because it had both great sites and all the amenities. On top of all that, Bruce and his wife are the most accommodating people on the planet. Our heat went out and Bruce GAVE us a space heater to keep for our next journey. Before I could say thank you, he noticed we didn’t have a fire ring at our site and offered to let us borrow one to get a fire going. It’s sad to say, but that kind of simple and genuine customer service these days is really rare. Overall, I highly recommend. Easy to get to, great camp sites and exceptional customer service...sign me up.
