Nice houses. Weird place.

Well, this is a super interesting place. Separated from a very run down part of the city by a marsh and trees, this is a beautiful piece of property on the water. It has campsites, tv hookups, and tiny homes. The positive: the tiny homes are well setup and cute. The ones with a loft are great for two kids— with low ceilings. The bedroom is nice and the bed is good. The kitchen is also quite nice (stove, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, no oven). There are nice grassy areas and sandy areas and water views. They allow dogs. The negatives: The staff doesn’t answer the phone. Ever. They say to text if you need something. They don’t answer that either. The pool was broken. No refund of part of the stay for that, despite it being one of their selling points.

Tiny home delight

We had never been to Coos Bay. I read a review in my local paper about this place. They have RV sites or you can rent an airstream or tiny home to stay in. They have a cute clubhouse area with an indoor pool. It’s maybe 3 1/2 feet deep rectangle shape. Also, a nice exercise room and great views of the bay. Our tiny home was a timber haus. It’s the biggest one since it was my family of 4. We were so impressed with the use of space and how big it was. The bathroom was big. A full size shower and a separate toilet room. Everything seemed almost brand new. They had a great fire pit and back porch area with Adirondack chairs but it was raining most of the time we were there. It stayed warm inside. The coffee that they have was so delicious and had a cute pour over setup. Plenty of room for us. Also, had a car charger there as well! Definitely check out shore acres state park and the front street food carts.

What a disappointment, no communication.

I don’t write review often but I can’t keep my mouth shut about this place any longer. I’m writing this as a warning to those looking to book the event venue…. Don’t. This place has the WORST customer service and communication I’ve ever seen. I’ve spent 2 months trying to get someone to schedule a tour of the venue for our wedding and I’ve been ignored or told we’ll get back to you numerous times. To this day I still haven’t heard from anyone. I had the “event manager” schedule a time to call then she never called and she never reached out to me again. I’ve wrote a handful of emails and every time was told “someone will get in touch with you” but we still have never heard from anyone. I called and either someone took a message or nobody answered.… Just remove the venue information if you can’t even answer basic questions to a possible guest. Look else where to plan your party….. I can’t imagine what a disaster the event will be at this place due to lack of communication.

Fantastic RV resort

This is the BEST RV resort we have stayed at! The premium location right on the ocean and the double wide sites are so fantastic and well thought out. It doesn’t get any better than this place! I also love that there are cabins and airstreams to rent. My daughter came down from Seattle and stayed in a cabin while we were in our camper from Colorado. Fantastic place for a family reunion. The beauty is endless at Bay Point!

New, large, clean, friendly!

This was our first time in this park, located on Coos Bay (the Bay, not oceanfront); we've already made reservations for a return visit. One of the nicest parks we've stayed in in our six years of traveling the West! It's very large, with not only modern park models but an Airstream rental park as well. The many sites are very large (both back-in and pull-through), immaculately clean, with new hookup pedestals. Each site is marked with a lighted metal post. There a four modern, connected hospitality buildings housing reception/store, a heated indoor saltwater pool, both kids’ and adults’ lounges, and a workout room. There are multiple bathroom/shower outbuildings, all immaculate. Staff are friendly and helpful, with helpful local sights/services handouts available. The park makes a nice base for exploring the Coast to the South, which terminates in Cape Arago State Park, with views of many seascapes, each populated by vociferous sea lions!
