Great Gem of a Hotel!
This hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations. I chose this hotel based on cost and proximity to my dad’s house, but was so surprised by how nice it turned out to be. The bed and the linens are fabulous The toiletries are so nice. All the little touches made this hotel very welcoming. When I arrived I forgot to turn the heater on and the temperature was in the 30s. I had to pick my husband up from the airport in Portland and came back later around 10pm to a very cold room and we couldn’t get the fireplace on. The owners came back and helped us out. He left a new portable heater to help heat the room up faster in addition to the room heat. They called me the next day to make sure everything was okay and made sure my room was kept warm. So great! I would definitely stay there again.

Family reunion
My daughter & I stayed in the Otter Room. This room is decorated so cute & the private deck/patio is a lovely place to have morning coffee! It’s almost as if the owners knew us before our arrival, as there were two fans in the room! I always sleep with a box fan on high! This was a nice plus since it was a warm weekend!!! We took advantage of the free DVD rental & it was fun browsing the large selection of movies! I stayed here over 21 years ago while pregnant with my daughter so it was very cool to stay with her & take pics & create memories! The room was clean & very well equipped with a fridge, coffee pot & microwave!

Better than expected
Peaceful, clean, and inviting. I sat on the deck right next to the bay for hours enjoying the sunset and many birds flying around. I also took advantage of their complimentary kayak use on the bay and witnessed a seal pop its head out of the water for a brief hello. The Room was remodeled within the last 5 years and was in like new condition. I especially loved the massaging shower head and quality linens. This was the cleanest room I have seen in my many years of vacationing.

Clean, calm and convenient
A friend and I stayed one night in the Otter room. We couldn’t believe the cleanliness of this place! It’s obviously well cared for, as are the lucky guests. Martha made sure we knew how best to arrive from Portland. She provided a basket breakfast and kindly answered all our questions. The morning misty view off the deck combined with bird life and kayakers were a wonderful welcome for our first night in Oregon. We dined at the Sand Dollar cafe in nearby Rockaway Beach. Many restaurants were closed on Monday’s so plan ahead if arriving at dinner time.

What a great spot on the bay
I was lucky to reserve the last room on a Saturday night. I called about 5 P.M. looking for a room. Martha was great on check in. I will definitely be back. The bed was very comfortable, view wonderful and staff very nice.
