TripAdvisor Ratings & Reviews
The room was old, and lacked sufficient outlets to charge phones. Had to unplug a lamp in order to charge phones. Worn and tired hotel with few amenities. Other placed we stayed in this price range included, free breakfast, exercise facilities and free snacks. It is centrally located. in the town of Brookings and convenient if you are doing Route 101 down the coast.
Westward Inn at Brookings Oregon.
Comfortable room, bed and bedding clean, clean bathroom, good lighting. Air conditioner a bit loud, customer service at front desk poor. Argued with her to get room on first floor due to wife's handicap. We would stay there again.
Not as "renovated" as it would seem, but was an okay, clean place. No service with a smile, though.
As we all know, hotels really range in quality. This is not a "roach motel" but the Savoy it is not either. Our check-in person was extremely gruff and did not even make eye contact nor listen to the answers I gave to her questions. After an extended frustration rant she stops and says "It's been a hard day" but still didn't make eye contact nor offer a real apology. We had a Family Room which is kind of like a suite as it has 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in one and 2 doubles in the other, a small bathroom with shower (no tub for the family room), a closet and small "kitchenette" area. It was nice to have a small fridge and microwave in the room as some places do not even do that. The room, and bed linens, were clean and comfortable - and that is a nice thing to have. LOTS of pillows on each bed with pillows that were mixed with 1 or 2 stiff pillows and 2-4 really fluffy soft pillows. The shower did not have a lot of pressure and *warning* here: the hot/cold is reversed on the shower (at least in this room). Over the course of our stay (3 days) we needed to reach the front desk several times and simply could not - even after walking down to the office no one was around. When we checked out there was just a covered "tissue" box with a sign stating something like "EZ Checkout. Put keys in here and go." Gee...a "thank you" would at least be nice, you know? The price was upper mid-range. I would consider staying again if I didn't have any other better choices...but not as a first choice.
Nicely Remodeled Hotel In Town Center
This property is OK and is finishing a remodel. Comfortable bed and nice space in a king room. The Chairs in the room needed to be cleaned. We were on the ground floor of a two-story structure away from the main street. We could hear people walking above us and the water sound when flushing or showering could be heard. Light continental breakfast. Parking was just enough on-site. The staff was at the desk and support services were very nice. This is a bargain to the median priced motel for what you get in the area.
Traffic Noise, but Nice Motel
Good location, but being so close to 101, you definitely get some road noise until late in the evening. The room we had, however, was nice and clean. Amenities included a microwave, frig, in room coffee maker and 5 pillows on the bed. There was no breakfast, but they did offer coffee, juice, fruit and sticky buns in the morning. The staff was friendly and we would stay here again if in the area.
