One of the nicer Hotels in Brookings
Best hotel in Brookings! Quiet, well lit parking lot and very clean. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of local events and good local places to eat. The rooms were very spacious. Ours had 2 beds in one room and a single king bed by itself in a separate room which was great for our group. There was a huge amount of pillows on each bed which I always appreciate because I love sleeping on a bunch of pillows! There was also plenty of parking. I hope to stay here next time I'm in Brookings- Thank you!

Second Try No Better
I have personally stayed at this hotel before and was so excited. The front desk clerk was not very friendly and frankly kind of rude. The room even though it is older was clean but does need updating badly. I had a room closer to the road and the road noise was terrible. So loud. I did not have a good night sleep. Any way I booked a co-worker at the same hotel just two days ago. I used a app to book the hotel so the mix up could be with them. My co worker shows up and the clerk was very rude. Stated that there was nothing booked. Co worker had the confirmation email with him and the gentlemen wouldn't even look at it. Was turning him away and then said well there was a cancelation. He put him up in that room but charged him $20.00 dollars more than what was charged on web site. We won't be staying there again.

Move on
While the room was clean and basically ok, the heating and air conditioner was so load it kept us up all night. Maintenance definitely required. No cloth bath mate to step out on to from the shower. Just a tough night.

needs updating and Maintenance
We were assigned to a very large room with a king bed. The good news is the bed was very comfortable. The bad news is the room is laid out poorly and the bathroom ceiling has mold from an apparent leak coming from upstairs unit. The linens are older and thin-suggest investing in better quality towels. Sink area is outside bathroom in a large area. The room should be remodeled to incorporate more space in bathroom. Obviously, they shouldn't be renting rooms with live mold (a health hazard). A large leather couch faces the bed not the tv and seems really out of place- seems like a couch with a fold-out bed would be more usable. People upstairs must have returned to the room late and walked heavily around the room after midnight.

Pretty good
I was a little hesitant to book a motel, but now that we stayed here we saw that is all that is really in the area. When we first walked in I was so happy. It looked very clean and nice. They have wood flooring type stuff down instead of gross carpet. We could see the ocean as we were on the 2nd floor. We stayed 3 nights. The beds are fine. But, the very first night my 2 year old dumped out a glass of water on the floor. No big deal right? I grabbed a wash cloth to wipe it up. The wash cloth was black when I looked at it! Ew! Then an even bigger problem from a safety point was they have no upper close the latch lock thing so that no one can open the door. So any staff could have just walked in at night. Plus with a 2 year old it was nerve wrecking that if he woke up he could just walk out. So each night we barricaded with a chair up against the handle and 2 big suitcases behind that so if someone tried to get in it'd be hard and noisy & so our kids couldn't leave! But when we needed TP or towels we'd call and they brought things in less than 10 minutes. Probably the best town in the area to stay. There isn't much to eat in Crecent City & almost nothing in Klamath if you're going to see Redwoods. On that note, 101 is closed from 8-12 & 3-7 daily to clean up a landslide and was awful to wait to pass through. It took hours in line. So we could get to Jedediah Smith Redwoods no problem. But Trees of Mystery & any Redwoods farther south prepare to wait a long time and time it right. Sounded like this will be an issue for quite a while. There is no alternative route that isn't like a 5 hour detour from what we were told. Oh one more thing about the motel. Take a sleep mask. They have very bright outdoor lights on all night (probably for safety) but even with the curtains shut when I'd wake up at night it looked so bright it was hard to get back to sleep.
