Nope. Find another place in the area. The worst thing about this place is the customer service. We received an email the day before with a door code that didn't exist. We emailed. No response. We called. Their phone number does not work. We were counting on checking in at the office, as had been described. It's CLOSED. We spent a half hour certain that we had been scammed, until we awkwardly had to knock on doors of other, non-affiliated neighbors, found one who mentioned they might be in one of the cabins... Had to knock on some more doors, when we found them they knocked right back (weird) and then acted very annoyed that we needed so much as a door code. Half hour past checkin. i do not recommend this place at all, while the lakefront is pretty the rest of it is absolutely not. Broken doors, poor decor, which I would have been fine with, but it was very overpriced for what you get especially after a very stressful and unpleasant beginning to our stay. Be careful if you stay here, you'll get an email saying "Your door code is ." You need to figure out a way to get in touch before your journey - if you do decide to go, know that their phones don't work and they don't respond to emails; for now I guess they are staying in cabin 9. Also note that their docks are decrepit and dangerous. This is no "RESORT." Bring your own toilet paper too. We were provided with less than half a roll for a couple of days but the experience with the hosts was so unpleasant that instead of asking, we preferred to just go out and buy our own.
If you want quiet, simple relaxation time, THIS is the place to go to. A clean, very comfortable rustic 2 bedroom cabin that is supplied with EVERYTHING minus your food that you need....including the sweetest host, Granny Annie, her pooch and the resident hotel duck. The lake was gorgeous, the ocean, which was 10 minutes away was beautiful and kayaking (free kayak use) up the Siltcoos river was amazing. HIGHLY recommended....
Just spent the weekend at Westlake Resort and enjoyed everything about it! The new owners are a young family who are very accommodating, friendly, and enjoyable to visit with. We stayed in cabin #8 which faces the the lake and has a nice covered porch where you can sit and enjoy the view of Siltcoos. The resort has a nice system of docks, and a covered fish cleaning station. If you're looking for gold plated toilet handles, and room service, then this isn't a place for you. If you'd like a quiet, relaxing time, near one of the most beautiful lakes on the west coast, then this is just the ticket. I'm going back next month!
My husband and I have been staying here since the mid 90's. Ailene, Brandon & Jude are the third family we spend 3 weeks with every year and, while it was sad to see the others go, we are so happy they are here. This year was very special to us as we were concerned the new owners would take the title "resort" to mean something different than what the returning guests have come to love. The personal touches made to our cabin were beautiful yet subtle and we were thankful for that because it was just like coming home again! They are working very hard to get things cleaned up but those of us who have spent many years watching it fall apart know what they are up against. We can't thank them enough for putting their all into it. If you are looking for a place to stay that is off the beaten path, away from the rat race and just so serene you have found it. If you are looking for a "resort" and have an adventurous mind about that term then this is the place for you. If you appreciate having fresh flowers in a Mason jar on your kitchen table upon arrival head to Westlake Resort and you will enjoy yourself. J & M
Very old motel/cabins. New owners for only six months. It is in very poor condition, but they are working to upgrade all the cabins. Motel type except for stand alone cabin 8, where we stayed. It has been updated with new carpet, appliances, and beds. The floor does have a slant and covered porch was not cleaned. It does have a great view of the lake, two bedrooms, and good hot water. The shabby condition of the resort is a turn off, but the location on the lake is great. The owners are nice and I believe trying hard to restore the place, but they have a very long way to go. The website does not represent the true condition of the "resort".
