Perfectly relaxing
My wife and I are finishing up our 3 night stay here, and once again The Wayside Lodge proved to be the perfect place to power down after busy days exploring the Oregon coast, and recharging for the next days adventures. Clean, comfortable, gracious hosts, and easy access to the magnificent beach and crashing Pacific Ocean's powerful waves. Seemingly infinite beach to walk and enjoy. Suggestion: Stay multiple nights if your time and budget allows, you won't want to leave.

Charming beach site
We have stayed at the Wayside several times and have always enjoyed it. I prefer the cottages to the upstairs suites but would enjoy any room onsite. A short walk down a flight of stairs puts you on the beach, with miles of ocean views and walks available. Beds are comfortable and rooms well appointed with basic needs. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the grounds are lovely.

Perfect beach getaway!
I visit the Oregon coast regularly & this was my first stay at The Wayside Lodge. I’m so glad I found this gem by the sea! Nestled amongst tall trees & beautifully maintained grounds this quaint lodge offers spectacular views of the ocean! The rooms are newly remodeled, well appointed, very clean, super cozy & just steps from the beach. The owners, David & Lorraine were so sweet & welcoming. They’re kindness made my stay very special. Can’t wait to return again soon. Great coastal destination… I highly recommend! Kate💕

Enjoying every minute here!
Currently staying in the "whale watch " room. It is spacious and clean and so comfortable, and the view of the roaring Pacific Ocean is fantastic! We are treated to 3 BIG pictures windows, and the ocean is right there! Crack the side windows and we can hear the waves smashing. Easy access to the beach for our morning and afternoon and evening walks. We were greeted warmly by our host Leslie, and she has offered the "anything you need just ask" promise, but everything we need is already here for us. We are so pleased to have found this slice of Oregon coast heaven... Highly recommended!

Photos are misleading
We regularly travel to the Oregon Coast and have spent the night in several top notch places. During the summer it is difficult to find lodging. We found the Wayside Lodge online and studied the photos online. It looked okay so we booked two nights in the Sea Merchant cottage. Well, the photos of the Sea Merchant on the Web site are of a similar cottage that has been renovated. The Sea Merchant is in a state of decay. The carpet was obviously installed when the cottages were originally built. The king size bed should have been retired ten years ago. There is ongoing musty smell throughout. While it is a lovely location, the act of misrepresentation is dishonest.
