Located just off I-5 at exit 98. Travelodge by Wyndham Canyonville offers recently upgraded rooms/windows. Located in Historic downtown Canyonville, close to restaurants, antique, shopping, only two blocks from the city park which is along the South Umpqua River, and 1 mile South of The Seven Feathers Casino, with shuttle bus service 24 hours daily.
Mountain view, hunting and fishing close by. Also, just 20 miles South of The Wildlife Safari.
This hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable, which are my two non-negotiable requirements. It is like a more expensive Motel 6 vibe..a phone a clock and a TV remote are the only things provided..no hangers in the closet and no coffee maker. I saw large creamer dispensers in the hallway outside the check in desk. I didn't see the breakfast area and the hotel description only says " breakfast available"..so I see no coffee service available outside of breakfast. As one other reviwer mentioned a year ago, the windows are very dirty. We are on the second floor but its very quiet. The young woman who checked us in was very friendly and efficient. The big deal in Canyonville is the Casino which is noisy and crowded and more expensive. Its an ok place to stay if you dont need fancy.
We stayed at this hotel for more than a week in early May. Everything was great - until it wasn't. Suddenly we began to see charges on our account posted from the hotel; charges in the excess of $700. We talked to the hotel staff; they denied any wrongdoing. We contacted Wyndham; they told us to we had to talk to the hotel. In the evening of 5/6 we went to get coffee from the reception area and talked about the police report we had to file per the bank's request in case the bank had to file criminal charges. Brittany, one of the receptionist, yelled from the back office, "I don't appreciate you talking about that, why don't you just leave!" We were both rather shocked at her outburst; why was she so angry about it? Our money was stolen and she's mad at us? She called us four times in 20 min after we returned to our room. We didn't answer. Why would we? To get more abuse heaped on us from the receptionist? No thanks. We contacted Wyndham again - nothing. The next day I went to get more coffee and Brittany asked to talk to me. She told me, "We talked and we all agree, you need to leave." I told her she was being disrespectful and she didn't need to talk to me the way she did (she was rude and condescending). Her reply, "My brother is a cop, I'll call him if you don't leave." Someone at their hotel steals money from us and they'll call the police on us? Really? We left. Later that night we get an email from the hotel telling us the $300 charge was a deposit. We had heard this before from Brittany, but how strange her comment was as the manager had told me the day before they don't take deposits. Nothing about the event passes the smell test. Thankfully Wyndham provided the owner's information and we have contacted him. But as we haven't heard back, we're going to court as it appears we can't get our money back any other way. So stay if you want your money gone and your time wasted. It's what they do here.
We had to evacuate our home due to fire, and we were blessed to find this comfortable, safe & quiet motel so close to us. Friendly, clean, comfortable beds, and welcoming! We will stay again. Thank you so much for being there in our time of need.
Older with attemps at updating but clean. Clean room, bathroom and sheets. Down fall is the beds, older firm spring mattress. I would suggest a good bedding upgrade. Otherwise it was pretty quite and comfortable to rest at reasonable price.
Wyndham should be ashamed to put their name on this motel. First the good: the towels and bedding were good and the front desk lady was helpful. Now the bad: parking is very limited and the hotel practically sits on the highway. Lastly, the ugly: the door between our room and the connecting room was paper thin. I could hear every word they said and boy was he a talker. Also, the lock between our rooms was shady at best. I slept with my purse under my pillow. The stairs going up to the rooms is horrible. No breakfast except for energy bars. Tub stained with rust. Hall carpets old and stained. Poor girl at the front desk was cleaning rooms in between checking people in. The young man that checked me out couldn’t be bothered to quit talking to his friend on his cell phone. We were supposed to stay two nights to visit the crater Lake but couldn’t stay more than the one night.
