Didn't Feel Safe
The Casino and hotels in McMinnville were full or too high; found this hotel, just driving towards Portland. Didn't check online, first mistake. It was dirty, bathroom sink was broken, beds were old and you slide out, ran out of toilet paper (glad we had some in the car), and neighbors, who I think lived there, were a bit questionable. No bolt lock. I will not be going back. Ewww!

Absolutely Terrible
Location is great, very close to George Fox. The non smoking rooms stink like old stale smoke. Old carpet, walls splattered with who knows what, dirty, flys all over, manager walks around and trys to see what is going on in the rooms. People living in other rooms with dogs. This place would be the very last resort only. City of Newberg needs to get this place cleaned up. Such a clean and beautiful little university town, this does not fit well. YUK!

Cheap, clean, newly painted. No updates...
it's a standard budget hotel - of maybe the 1980's. (although the decor is nice, and freshly painted). But there's no desk, plugs for devices are hard to find, there's a stand-alone sink without a counter in the bathroom, and a physical key with a number on it for the rooms.

Most awful place ever!
Reserved via booking.com. It was the only hotel that had availability, two beds and accepted dogs for the six night stay we were going to be in Newberg. It looked a little sketchy at first but we've traveled a lot and don't require a top of the line place, well this place is the bottom of the barrel. It appeared that some people are long term residents. I had a hard time understanding the two people who checked me in but they figured out the amount I owed, charged me more, and I couldn't seem to communicate that to them so I stopped trying. When we went to the room it smelled heavily of smoke and some spray. The "leather" chair had a big hole in it, there were holes in the wall and there was mold in the bathroom. The dog was even freaked out. We returned to the office and told them we weren't staying and wanted a refund. An argument ensued and they finally refunded our money. The woman followed us to the car yelling something about a charge from booking.com, she even grabbed hold of the car door. We eventually drove off and found a place for one night at the Travel Lodge. They were very kind, clean rooms, and nice staff. They had enough cancellations that we were able to stay the six nights. We had camping gear and would camp in 90 plus degree weather rather than stay at the disgusting Towne and Country Motel. Doesn't deserve a one star rating.
