We were looking for a cheap room close to the Maryhill Museum and chose the Three Rivers inn. We drove up and were greeted by a Let's Go Brandon banner and had we known this, we would have booked another place. Briggs Junction is a cluster of truck stops with lots of truck parking in the area though it was fairly quiet at night. It is the first available services in a long stretch along the Columbia River Gorge. This is a drive to door retro motel with some second story rooms. There is free off-street parking. It was easy to book over the phone. I was greeted by two barking dogs at the front desk and a sign that warns customers not to reach over. The room was spacious. We had a single large queen bed, lounge chair, desk and chairs, Direct TV, shower and tub with separate vanity. There was a mini-fridge with freezer section and microwave. There are sidewalks for walking (but along a very busy highway). There was a McDonalds across the street. Convenience stores and market nearby. It is a short drive to the Stonehenge Memorial and the Maryhill Museum of Art. We paid $90 for the room. Internet was free and reliable.
I had never been into this region of the USA before so I was completely i n the dark as to where to stop and what options I had to reserve a room ...especially on a Saturday night. Thank goodness this was an UNBELIEVABLE REWARD at the end of a very long day of driving!!!! Despite its location and the numerous transport trucks parked along the road out side when I opened the door of ROOM 47 I was blown away at just how unexpectedly BEAUTIFUL it was !!!!! One of the nicest motel rooms I have ever stayed in in my seventeen years of travels across the USA and incredibly engineered to be QUIET!!!!!And in addition to that the upgrades of power outlets and USB ports in the lamp bases is terrific!!!! The triple-paned glass of the windows and the wonderfully insulated steel door made this room a haven for a light sleeper as I am. The owners of this complex have done a remarkable job of renovating and decorating this room (and hope eventually all.....). I wish half of my motel stays were as enjoyable as this was!!!! Thanks to Todd and staff for a restful night!!!
My husband and I were on a motorcycle trip , heading to Oregon Coast, my husband’s motorcycle broke down on the side of the road about 20 mins outside of Biggs, after realizing we were not going to get his motorcycle fixed, we called Three Rivers Inn to see if they had a last minute room for us, we explained our situation and that we would be getting my husband’s motorcycle dropped off there on a tow truck. The owners were very understanding and accommodating to assist us ( even went as far as lending us his electrical oms meter for troubleshooting the motorcycle and provided us the materials and helped us build a ramp to get my motorcycle on back of our friends truck that came down from Canada to our rescue). The hotel was very clean, comfortable and affordable , conveniently located right at the junction and close to a few restaurants and gas station. I would definitely recommend Three Rivers Inn to any travelers going through or visiting the area. My husband and I are planning to attempt the trip again next year and Three Rivers Inn is going to be where we spend our first night of our trip. Thank you for the great hospitality. I've been coming to this motel for many years and have loved it. Unfortunately there was a political sign on the wall when we arrived late, too late to change to another hotel. I was shocked to see the sentiment attacking minorities and the president. I won't be going back.
Clean room at a affordable price! Loved the selection of coffee, tea, cocoa that was offered in the AM. Although it was across from a truck stop, it did not interrupt my sleep with the AC going. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean place to lay your head down after a days travel. Oh yeah, a plus was his political signs, spot on!
