Worst ever. Nasty
Horrible run away from this place I let the manager know I was having issues and he ignored me and the new owner is very unaccomadating.. Recesses to give me back my money.. What happened to the lovely lady that used to open this place?

This place is a ripoff.
Went into the office to get a room but a snow storm was coming and decided not to stay, The lady at the counter said they did not run my card through but they charged me for the room anyway and would not refund my money. Then in February they charged my card $200 and I was not where near the place at that time. This place is a ripoff. Don't stay here!

1 week in Crescent, OR
The Woodsman Lodge is a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Quiet and affordable. There was just one criticism. My brother had reserved a room from Oct 15th through Oct 21st. On Tuesday, Oct 18th mid afternoon he had to cancel the last night on the 21st. It would seem that much time to cancel would have generated a refund for one night. Not so. They refused to refund the last night even though it was 72 hours in advance. That, in my opinion, is not the correct way to do business, nor is it the right thing to do.

Great Roadside Motel with lots of charm!
A very well organized and super cute roadside motel. Dog friendly. Decorated in every room and outside so rustic and well thought out decor! I need to give a big shout out to Penny and her Husband. She was in charge and really helped us out when the air conditioner wouldn't work (and it was really unseasonably hot)! She was really doing it all and the best part was she was doing it with patience and a big smile! She even asked her husband (that has his own career) to come by and assist her...he was so nice and did all he could,as well! I can't say enough good things about this place! Across the street was the Bigfoot Tavern (again, dog friendly out on the back patio). Had a wonderful meal and very inexpensive local beers. I couldn't believe it when we got our bill. This was our resting point between Meridian, Idaho and the Oregon Coast. It was such a short drive to Crater Lake. Don't hesitate to stay at The Woodsman Country Lodge!

On the way to Crater Lake
The lodge's reviews on the Internet are pretty good, so I booked a room there since it was close to Crater Lake. I probably wouldn't stay at the lodge again. It is an older motel along a fairly busy highway and you can hear the road noise easily. I used the A/C-dehumidifer on fan to create a white noise barrier. The TV in our room was an old CRT/analog TV, so be aware that not all rooms have updated TVs. When we were ready to take a shower, the hot water knob in the tub was broken, so no shower for us that day. When we checked out, we reported the hot water knob issue and were told that maintenance had been notified several times. The good part about the motor lodge is that it was very clean and the price was good. The beds were okay.
