Great atmosphere! We stayed in the Mermaid Haven and appreciate the creativity that went into decorating. We loved the beautiful grounds as well. All the staff was welcoming and accommodating. It was close to everything in town.

Creative decor and appealing location
Each room is artistically decorated in unique decor...I had the Cherry Girl room. Such a great room located above the restaurant with a sliding glass door opening onto a deck facing the ocean. The premises is clean, the thick towels new and refreshment caddy included upscale Taylor brand Earl Grey tea, my favorite. I had an easy self check-in and check-out and loved the location! I will come back the next time I'm in Yachats.

My partner and I were driving down the Oregon coast last week. There were not many options for lunch, so we stopped at the Drift Inn. The service and food was good. We were surprised to see that the bill charged an automatic 20% tip! We were not advised upfront about the 20% tips. There were NO signs to advise the patrons. Of course we would have tipped. I feel what they did was POOR business practice. We will not be going there ever again.

Staying at the Drift Inn.
Very comfortable bed. We had an unusual situation and Bev really went above and beyond to help us out. There were no rooms available one of the nights and my pregnant daughter was going to have to sleep in the car and Bev called a local competitor for us. We stayed in a "pedal out" room, showers were great!

This restaurant charges a mandatory 20 percent gratuity on to go orders! I’m not a fan of this at all. I went in and ordered an $11 item to go, and a $2.00 was added to my order! When I objected, the manager said basically, that is the way it is so they can pay their staff a decent wage and she laughed in my face when I said I don’t agree with charging this on a to go order. It seems they are really taking advantage of customers after the pandemic. I won’t come here again and I think others should boycott this place based on this practice. (By the way, they don’t care if you do).
