This place was excellent!
Excellent!! The ladies at the reception desk were extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the things to see and do. Rooms were very nice. The view was magnificent. The beautiful beach was right below our window. Thanks for the advice about where to go for the beach bonfire. Loved the glass blowing! It was the best!

Awesome hotel and awesome staff
Clean, friendly, and conveniently located. Great continental breakfast and a good swimming pool. Five stars.

Good but not special
The room was comfortable and clean, with a quiet little balcony overlooking the beach - it met expectations but not more. Carts available at check-in are a nice touch so you don't have to carry luggage up from the parking lot. Something we learned is that a TripAdvisor walkability score of 57 is less walkable than we prefer, if we return to Lincoln City the Siletz Bay area looks better. The breakfast was bad, the first day we didn't eat much and went elsewhere the other mornings.

Cute Hotel on the beach!
Surfland was a cute boutique style hotel on the beach. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good.

We had a wonderful stay at the Surfland Hotel and would definitely come back!
We had a wonderful stay at the Surfland Hotel and would definitely come back! Check-in was excellent. We arrived a little early, and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Not long after we got settled, they even called our room to make sure everything was okay, which was a nice personal touch. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony and an ocean view. This is an older motel, but it has obviously been well cared for. The room looked freshly painted, was spotless, and felt very clean. We especially liked having a separate bedroom, which gave us plenty of space to store our luggage and made the room feel much larger. It also included a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. The ocean view was beautiful. We found that the best view from our balcony was while standing, but the hotel also has a wonderful shared oceanfront seating area where we spent a couple of relaxing hours watching the waves on a gorgeous day. It was one of our favorite parts of the stay. Breakfast was included, and I'd recommend getting there early because it gets busy. The breakfast was one of the better complimentary hotel breakfasts we've had, with a good selection and plenty to enjoy. We paid about $314 for one night, which is a little pricey, but after our experience, we felt it was worth it. There were only a couple of minor downsides. At breakfast, all of the forks and spoons were stored together in open containers, so everyone's hands were reaching into them, which didn't seem very sanitary. The shower was very clean, but the water pressure was a bit low, and the soap dispenser was empty when we arrived. Overall, this was easily a 4.8-star experience for us. The outstanding customer service, spotless room, comfortable accommodations, and beautiful ocean views far outweighed the few minor issues. We look forward to staying here again!
