Best Western disappoints big time
I was extremely surprised and disappointed with this hotel. The website did say that there are no elevators — stairs only to 2 of 3 floors. Very inconvenient, especially with multiple items (over and above my suitcase). They do not have any type of rolling cart to move your things from your vehicle to the stairs and no help from staff available. Huge warning: Mattress(es) are in dire need of replacement. My King size bed mattress had craters in it in multiple locations; springs totally shot. Worst bed ever. I was told by front desk staff that this is the case in most of the rooms at this hotel. Checked out a day early due to poor condition. The one good thing about this hotel is it's proximity to the beach. I will not stay here again and 100% do not recommend this hotel

GREAT LOCATION - NEEDS CLEANING AND MUCH MAINTENANCE
We love Gold Beach and stay here most of the time. We like the rewards point and the option to use points to pay. We notice prices increasing, no room service unless specifically requested, we were not told there was no service nor asked if we wished to have room service I just knew to ask from previous trips. Cleanliness is definitely lacking, we last stayed in the top floor room 330-A, most expensive level of rooms with the best ocean view, the couch was so filthy we would not sit on in, the ice bucket had left over ice water and the ice bag and in general the rooms are not in the best of repair. The exterior also is in need of repairs. Most expensive lodging in town. Tammy the manager is always wonderful. Pricing keeps going up and quality of product diminishing. Sad to see and hope they make changes. Location is wonderful and the short walk to the beach is nice. Sunsets are great too!

Not pleased
Don't book on their website. If something goes wrong, they won't refund you because it is third party somehow. You have to call in or reserve at the front desk in order for them to help if needed. Our room was not working well at all and they could only refund $20. There was a lot not working in our room and the bed was rolling off the frame as we slept even when we pushed it back on.

Rude and old
I am in a wheelchair and this motel is not friendly, the front desk people do not want to be bothered. If you want breakfast be prepared to have to move a table to the top as the eating part is not ADA also make sure and bring a tip because if they have to move a table they wave the tip plate! The mirror in the bathroom is not Ada so be prepared to have to lean high. The bed is old and uncomfortable. The balcony is ok but slippery and the view is great! The only thing I can say is the view was good the rest NO. Also, no meat even tho they advertise a sausage patty. They charge you in full upfront and take the full amount off. Do yourself a favor go to JoTS where the hot tub might work!

The perfect beach stay
This was the fourth hotel we stayed in in a week. The staff were very friendly, always greeted with a hello and offered recommendations of nearby businesses. The breakfast was the best we’ve eaten all week, with a wide variety of food to choose from. The hotel had everything we needed. The view is spectacular!
