Watch out for extra chsrges

I stayed at this facility two nights last week, while serving as a volunteer for a local 501C3 charity. I was there serving the community at my own costs. The facility is quaint, but limited, given their rates. They will not let you check in until 4pm, “because it takes time to prepare”. I arrived at 2pm because I had to start serving at 4pm. They require a $50 up charge to check in early. $50! They did not have to do any extra work, the room was ready, and available. There was only one additional vehicle in the entire parking, they were hardly overwhelmed. This is a rip off, a blatant action to up the margin! By the way, on my checkout day I departed at 7am, no reverse credit for checking out early, “so they can prepare”!

Right Beside Smith Rock State Park

Fun place to stay right beside Smith Rock State Park, with gorgeous views. The standard rooms are half of a cabin-yurt, which is a unusual and interesting design. We enjoyed walking out to the veiw point over the canyon, easily accessible from the resort.

Lovely room, beautiful setting, super-friendly staff

This resort was a delightful surprise. I made some last-minute reservations due to location & affordable rates. The staff people I spoke with on the phone & later met in person were super helpful & friendly. The little room (1/2 a yurt) was beautiful, cozy, & spotlessly clean with a big window, a sliding glass door, & a lovely view. The bed was super-comfortable & felt like memory foam. A few restaurant options, as well as the trailhead for a gorgeous hiking trail into the Crooked River Canyon were within walking distance. I'm sold! This resort's going to be a Central OR favorite of mine.

I attended a yoga retreat nearby. The hotel/ Yurt was very accommodating & clean. The views of Mountains was spectacular. Decent hikes at Crooked River. Caroline, the Manager was kind, very helpful & was attentive with our group. I did not ask for housekeeping during my visit but available. No food available on site but food trucks & saloon nearby. Limited hours in evening.

Love this lodge!!

Upon arrival to the lodge, I decided that this place is so awesome, peaceful, beautiful and comfortable that I would be happy as can be living there. Friendly, helpful staff, super clean with amazing views! I loved going to the Crooked River Canyon Lookout and exploring the trail down into the canyon which were both so close that it seemed to be in the backyard of the lodge!! This place is truly a hidden gem!!
