Don’t cheat yourself, treat yourself
Kandice Gee at the front desk was very helpful. She was able to get us a better room when we had a fire place not working in the original room. She was great! The resort was quiet. My wife lived the gym and spa.

Lacks a lot in the details
Overall we quite enjoyed our stay at Sunriver Resort this past weekend. We interacted with the front desk and restaurant servers—all of whom were lovely. A couple of surprises for us though that we would have considered had we known, hence 2 instead of 5: We specifically booked for apre-ski vibes, so an outdoor hot-tub is essential. While Sunriver boasts one, they at no point mention in the email or the website (I did minor digging and haven't found anything) that the outdoor pool and hot tub are closed during the winter. It was a measurable bummer for us because we were counting on it, and didn't think it would be something to require checking before booking since there are loads of photos on the site. The indoor pool/hot tub was nice to have, but very hot, loud and smells like chlorine, just not quite the same for us. Rooms: The floor/ceiling thickness is minimal. We were put in a lower level Premium King and our upstairs neighbor woke up to leave/bustle about/pack etc at 3:30am both nights. Very loud stomping, very little sleep for us. Props to them, but we needed our R&R post ski. The front doors also don't filter sound, stair case right outside the door made a lot of noise of all hours. We, a couple, were booked in a room with a shared door to another room, which is just a touch awkward at times. The photos of the Premium King all showed tall vaulted ceilings, including the 3D walk through. Again, no mention that you might get a lower floor (in fact no mention that there are floors) with short ceilings. Just not what we were expecting. Resort Fee $20-$30: A combination of the above, resort fees are tough because if you don't use the facilities you're out of luck. I would have hoped for at least complimentary coffee in the lobby (Keurigs are not tasty and are terrible for the environment). I had to change our reservation because the OG was booked during the blizzard in Portland and we couldn't get out of the city. I appreciated their flexibility in changing it, but they didn't mention that it would be a more expensive booking. All in all, I'm a stickler for detail and would consider twice before booking for a apre-ski stay especially at this price point and with so many options near Bachelor and Bend! Edit Mar 15: The property got back to me saying "there are hot tubs scattered all round" ... Re: the comedy response from the hotel: I paid $600+ to stay here for two nights and had issues with so many things... The hot tubs they're referring to are literally outside of other peoples rooms...next to their balconies quite a trek away from your own room. To use this as a retort affirms that I'll never be back to Sunriver...sorry, not sorry, I missed them.

Staycation
We always love staying at Sun River Resort for a staycation. Kandice Gee at front desk was awesome checking us in. Beautiful room and view. Cozy fireplace. Lots of fresh fluffy towels. Super comfy bed. We enjoyed the spa, love the new pool and bar at the Grove. Room for improvement: In the morning, at 9 am, two people showering water gets cold. We were also a little disappointed they were not able to accommodate a late check out for us on Monday.

Incredible Resort
There's nothing like Sunriver. I stayed in a renovated room and it was so enjoyable. Owl's Nest is so inviting and comfortable. I think I had the best Cheeseburger of my life there, along with an excellent selection of beers on tap. Debra at the front desk was professional, friendly and thorough. Hated to leave!

happy family
had a great time stayin at the sunriver resort. The room is spacious and comfortable. we brought my gdaughter to spend time for her 9th bday. Only issue was her bday cake was too big to fit in our fridge, we put in on the deck, next day it was no longer on the chair out there. A racoon or something must of taken it.
