Our second stay was as good as the first.
This is a new property for Best Western. They have taken over another motel and are working very hard to renovate it. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Will stay with them again.

An Outstanding Experience BW Roseburg
The BW Roseburg had an amazingly friendly, professional staff, very welcoming & accommodating. Each individual was similarly friendly & made sure you had what you needed or wanted from the front desk to the breakfast staff. The property was nice over all. The rooms were well appointed & cared for. As I understood it the property is going to get some upgrades & improvements. To me it seemed that the most needed areas of attention would be in the pool area & carpeting. My room was fine, neat, in well cared for shape throughout. I do want to mention that the morning Customer care person at check, Mikka, was a standout with a friendly smile, inquiring as to my comfort as well as what I was traveling for. She was especially kind. An excellent representative for the property. All this made it an outstanding visit.

Unjustified and Discriminatory $250 Charge
We booked a pet friendly room to stay with our service dog, and the hotel charged us $250 fine without bothering let us know. When we called, they said it's for pet hair, pet food container and smoke of cigarettes. What is the issue with an empty and washed pet can in the garbage bin? Is it any different than human food container?? And WE NEVER SMOKE ANYTHING EVER in our ENTIRE LIVES. Even if the other two claims make a little bit of sense, this one is 100% false and extremely unreasonable and insulting. I really couldn't understand how could you smell smoke of cigarettes from no where? The room smells not good at the beginning and we didn't even bother complain that because we were too tired, but it didn't smell like cigarettes at all. Who the hell will smoke cigarettes in a hotel room with their service dog? Don't you have smoke detectors in the room? This is more than ridiculous. I've brought my service dog with me to many hotels and no one ever brought pet hair is a issue. Our dog shed a little but so does every dog! Our dog only sheds a little because I literally chose the kind that doesn't shed much. If you Google my dog breed it will say low shedding. Do you charge everyone with other pets $250? Why listed your hotel as pet friendly if you don't even tolerate any amount of dog hair? This is the most pet-unfriendly hotel I've even seen. I can't believe how could you smile and greet at us when we were there, but made such false accusations without even fact check with us right after we left? This stay was the first stop of our Christmas trip celebrating the first anniversary of me and my girlfriend, and our dog as a family member just like our child. This was the most unexpected and extremely upsetting start to a trip we never would have imagined. Besides all of these, the bed is too soft and pillows are too thin. I felt very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep and had bad back pain this morning. The room door lock is not sensitive to the key card, we tried at least 10 times to make it work. The AC is super noisy but we'd rather keep it on because the irregular highway noise was more disturbing. It's not fair to only write the bad part, but I'll just skip the good part just like they chose to skip any notice or fact check when charging us.

Charged more on credit card than quoted
I needed rest after driving over 1,000 miles in 2 days. I called the number listed for the hotel about vacancies. I was given the total price including all taxes and fees of $146.99. Before I disconnected my call with the man I was booking the room with, my credit card notified me that they were charging $189.32. The man said it was a deposit for incidentals. When I received the invoice at checkout, I discussed the charges with the clerk before. She informed me there was nothing she could do. I attempted to dispute with my credit company before I left, only to be told to wait until it showed up on my credit card bill. I just received my credit card bill, and the amount charged was $189.32. no reimbursement for the so called incidentals/deposit fees. I continue to try to recoup the $42.33 that was overcharged.

By far THE BEST Hotel experience we've ever had.
We live out of state getting married in Oregon. I called a few hotels looking for block of rooms to accommodate bridal party and guest NO ONE was more helpful or as nice as Crystal. Crystal was very patient and friendly with me through out the entire experience even helping me with last minute wedding emergencies. EVERY employee here was extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, rooms nice and good breakfast. We travel a lot to many states and this was by far the most welcoming place we've ever stayed. Everyone at the hotel made this such a great experience! I definitely recommend staying here.
