TripAdvisor Ratings & Reviews
The hotel is clean and the manager was friendly. Plenty of towels. Shower is small and pillows are flat but the price is right for a good clean place to sleep. Our bathroom was clean with new caulk and flooring. We didn’t eat breakfast there but the breakfast area was full so I’m assuming breakfast is satisfactory. Would stay again.
But this place definitely needs to update the bathrooms. The most comfortable bed and pillow I have slept on in a motel ever BUT bathrooms need a lot of love. Would stay again. Quiet and bedroom was clean.
AAA rated and online reviews indicate 3.5 out of 5. That's a stretch. A lot of maintenance needs to be done to really qualify for an average or above rating. Very dated and not much to show for $100 a night we paid.
Not a comfortable place to stay
Contrary to what their website says, rooms don't start at 44 but at 55 dollars and there is no breakfast included or available. Room was kind of shabby and had an unpleasant smell to it. But at least it was clean. The bedding could use an update. Street noise is very audible, as are the footsteps of your neighbor upstairs is you are on the first floor.
Manager is a jerk!
We stayed 9/5/17 with the intention of staying another night until we encountered Scott, the so called Manager. First of all I have never been treated like this from a motel clerk ( and we travel a lot). When I went to the office to pay for another night he became very excited; telling me repeatedly that we weren't charged the right amount and he really should charge more because of two dogs, not 1. As he was working on the transaction he began saying how he had received a complaint that our dogs had been baring at 0430. I firmly said that was not true as our dogs had not barked all night. Theyare two labs who are well behaved and we would have heard them. I asked for clarification on where the complaint came from and he didn't respond. He said must of been our dogs as there weren't Any other dogs In the motel. I told him that was not correct as the room next door had a dog. He really didn't respond but just remained excited. before I left the office I told him that I did not appreciate his confrontational tone, perhaps he should know the facts first. When I returned to the room I shared all of this with my partner who went to the office to discuss. At this point Scott began to back track what he had said in a loud voice. He used profanity about the situation referring to our dogs as "mangy dogs" while his cat walked all over the counter. This person has the worse possible customer service skills and simply escalated a situation that did not need to be escalated. He ultimately told us to get out. The maid (Kate) who had booked our room and checked us in came to us to apologize. We thanked her as she was very gracious. As we departed, he came out of the office and made the statement that he knew who we were and he had friends in the area. My response was " Is that a threat"?. No response. While the room was adequate and clean Scott is not worth the trouble! We will never stay there again, nor will our traveling friends and other associates. We will spread the word until Scott is gone and replaced.
