ok for a few nights
it looks a bit rough but it was ok - bed was comfy, old wall heater worked fine, TV and wif-fi worked fine. Shower was nice and hot. Microwave and fridge worked fine. If you can look past how out dated it is, the place is ok.
Clean comfortable room.
We planned on making it to Bend but due to weather only made it to Burns, this hotel always looked so cute as we drove through town so we took a chance. The lobby is adorable and the hotel managers we very accommodating and friendly. The room although small and definitely outdated was extremely clean and cozy. If you need a pet friendly hotel while traveling through Burns we highly recommend over the other "name brand" choice.
Pet Not People Friendly
This pet friendly motel was chosen because we brought our dog and no other hotel would accept dogs in Burns. The exorbitant charge felt like Highway robbery for this run down facility. Nice staff though.
I travel through Burns frequently and had the good fortune to stay at the Silver Spur my last trip. The manager was very friendly and accommodating, I arrived late and she left the room key in a lock box on the door knob. The room was clean and comfortable. I travel with an old dog who was welcome. There were several other dogs there that evening and none of them were a problem. This is not a new property and like all older properties it could use a touch up here and there. That said, when traveling through Burns the Silver Spur is certainly my first choice.
Nobody there to check us in. Our credit card was compromised and we had to deactivate it. The place stank and there was large barking dogs in a room. We were actually glad nobody came or answered the three phone numbers posted. We'll never deal with OYO again.
