I've really loved staying here throughout the years when coming to, or, going through Burns, when needing lodging in this area. The people at this motel are (and were during my most recent trip here) so accomodating and very friendly people. This was true for me - again - this time I stayed here...from Marisa, in the Office, to Housekeeping, to the Groundskeeping/Maintenance employees. They were (are) very pleasant, down to earth, and attentive to their guests, whether to just say hello with a smile, or, to stop and assist their guests while there. 😊 As an added comment, regarding those of you out there who prefer a more modern, or, contemporary place to stay during your travels...this motel is, most likely, not for your liking, in my opinion only, I believe this comment to be true (just a heads-up). But, if you are the type of individual(s) who prefer a low-key, clean, quiet, relaxed, convenient, place to stay, or, are in the area to access certain family, or, community events, or, just want to acess what the local stores have to offer for a bit and enjoy good food - try GLORY DAYS PIZZA - it's SO Good and They Delivery! 😃 Also, if you are just passing through the area and just want a good place to stay (without taking out a personal loan to pay for your overnight stay), then, I believe that the SILVER SPUR Motel is your Best Choice! Another fact, this motel has been a part of "older times" Burns for alot of years and has a history within this unique, personable, community. It is very reasonable and really - just "older style" comfortably charming...that was/has been my experience(s) while here. Again, it is not a fancy place - a mention - again - for those individuals who are looking for that type of atmosphere. I, myself, just really love to stay here when in town (for the comments that I've already made in this review). So, to finalize this review, in my opinion, there is a Rustic - Quaint - Charm to the Silver Spur Motel and I love to stay here! ❤️ I hope that the Silver Spur Motel is available to individuals - like myself - FOR MANY, MANY, MANY MORE YEARS TO COME!!!

Terrible Hotel
My brother and I were heading home from hunting when we had a breakdown and had to spend the night in Burns. This is the only hotel my wife could find with availability. The entire experience here was awful. At check-in we were helped by a woman with her boobs hanging out of her top, and a man with his pants below his butt. We got to the room and found a moldy shower, stained carpets, towels with bleach spots, an old mattress that every spring could be felt, and a base board furnace we were afraid would catch fire. And, speaking of fire, a fire detector with a plastic bag on it. This morning when I left the room, there was a keycard in their door…potentially someone tried to enter our room last night. This is a terrible place to stay.

Cheapest Available On Line, But No Bargain
While I was having my dinner, I looked on line for places to stay in Burns. This place was the cheapest I found. The sign was half burned out so I drove right by and had to turn around. The parking lot is small but I managed to squeeze into a space I called the number on the office door to check in. A nice lady came out of one of the rooms and took my payment and gave me a key. The room was nowhere close to worth what I paid for it and ownership should be cited for price gouging! I will offer this one example. The shower had sizable cracks in the plaster and In the middle if my evening shower, water started dripping on my head from one of the cracks overhead. I have no idea if it came from the room above or a leaking pipe in my room and I don't want to know! I passed by several older properties that were not shown on line and I very much wished I had stopped at one of them!

Universe told me to leave.
First off, I knew this was a cheap hotel when I booked and I wasn't expecting a lot but I was supposed to stay 8 days. I got there and you have to call to get into the front office. The lady was sitting in the parking lot in her car with her dog. They overbooked (the front desk lady told me so) and gave me a room with a shower that was constantly running. I thought someone was in there at first and felt unsafe. I tried to turn the water off and then went to the front desk to get help. They said they knew about it and the maintainenece man had to tear into the wall so they left it running. They gave me a replacement room with a moldy shower and the front door didn't have a deadbolt and the regular knob didn't lock. The stairs felt like they were breaking under me, it smelled of mildew and dog everywhere, and the parking lot was full if vans that looked like people were living in them. The ladies upfront were nice during this but there was so much I felt I had to decline. I was still charged for a full day. Then 4 days later my replacement hotel was full of people who said that the Spur kicked everyone out of the second floor for repairs and left them in the lurch.

Cheap and clean
This place is clean and cheap. It is conveniently located and staff was friendly. We got a great deal online. There is a cute painting of wildlife on the walls. Came in late and called number and got quick service. Glad to support a small business.
