Great Views!

Loved the views! Great location right off the main road in and out of town- Room was clean- bed was comfortable- Working Tc and good internet. Eli and Ashlie are super friendly and helpful! Thank you both for a great stay!

Cozy, good rate, kind staff but needs more updating

Great view upstairs, comfy bed, clean sheets, budget rate. However, this is not deluxe and I know how picky you can be, so if you want luxury, this is not your place. Bring earplugs for Hwy sounds, napkins, dishes, slippers. Being remodeled.

Helpful and Friendly staff

Room more than adequate for overnight stay, Manager quickly came to repair fault with washbasin, very friendly and helpful with suggestions of where best to eat. Lovely views sadly obscured by dirty windows.

Amazing view at excellent price... But a very worn property

Pros: The ocean view was absolutely fabulous! The price for this room was also incredible, especially given the view and location. Room was very clean. Staff running the hotel (I think it's a family operation) were very nice and thoroughly explained options for heating/cooling at check-in. Microfridge present. Recycling bin in room. Room had a nice coastal feel to it. Box fan was offered in lieu of AC. Cons: The room and property seem very worn. Walls and furniture were in dire need of paint touch-ups. Fixtures and hardware could have benefitted from an update. Water pressure was low. WiFi was present, but slow. Driveway coming in was in serious need of repaving. Mattress wasn't uncomfortable, but was old and firm. Room was carpeted, which I don't prefer in coastal settings where sand can easily be tracked in (but carpet was clean). Windows did not open very wide, which was a disappointment given the ocean view (they open just enough to create airflow if you also open the room door). Doors do not lock automatically, so you have to remember to lock deadbolt before leaving. Bottom Line: I would rate this hotel as 3, possibly even 2 stars in any other location. But the view and price point gives me cause to rate higher. But be prepared for a quaint property significantly behind on deferred maintenance. Hotel should consider minor updates such as paint touch-ups and updates to fixtures to make rooms look a bit less worn.

Clean, basic hotel with a great view

This is a clean, no-frills hotel right on the Coastal Highway, which is exactly what we were looking for. Seemed very quiet and safe. Port Orford is a quiet little coastal town. Did not try the internet or TV, as we got in late and left early. Would stay again.
