We went to Salem for Thanksgiving with family. I went and checked in @ 4 o'clock Went to look at the room and turned the heat up to 68 from 60. Came back to the room at 10 o'clock and it was still 60 degrees. The heat did not work so we froze our butts off all night. In the kitchen there was food scarps on all the drawer and appliance handles, opened the cupboard to get a glass but every glass had not been washed lip prints and greasy fingerprints still on the glasses! There was a dishwasher right there. Housekeeping couldn't just put the dishes in and push start? Sticky like spilled juice on the nightstands and greasy handprints on all the cupboards in the kitchen! They served breakfast but it was horrible, cold and no gravy, I told the attendant the gravy was empty at 8:30 am and she said there isn't any more. Really you don't stock up for a holiday. I wanted to try a waffle but there was only one waffle maker instead of 2 like most hotels, didn't want to stand in line to try it. I could go on but I'm going to stop now I think you get the point. Someone needs to go in after housekeeping and see what kind on job they are getting paid to do.
I'm sorry but this was horrible. 284$/night and I couldn't even stay there. Hallway smelled like vomit and the HVAC didn't work so no AC. Not up to residence inn standards at all. I had to leave Eugene due to the game and wanted a place relatively close by so I could get to the airport on Monday. The staff were friendly enough but the accommodations were horrible. Left within 10 minutes. Had to drive another hour to find a clean place but it was worth it.
Dirty and smelly. Trash, groceries and box of condoms laying on the floor in the hallway next to our room for over a day. Asked for extra pillows, said they didn’t have any. Not sure the last time the place was vacuumed. Pull out bed covered in stains, would not let my kid sleep on it. I’ve stayed at other residence inns in California, they were nothing like this one. Very disappointed, especially for the price we paid.
Just terrible. Booked a room while driving through. Reserved a king bed, received a queen bed. Room was awful, beyond dated, beyond dingy. Service was very poor. Upon arrival, a sign explained no one was available at about 8:30 PM. Just awful.
Titanium status. Checked in at 4pm and was told it would be one more hour until check in. What?!? After expressing frustration, the colleague did give us another similar room. The room was okay but had a weird window air conditioner next to the bed window (with window open and without the window being sealed off) and the tub was very stained. Not my favorite room for around $280 with tax. Breakfast was very nice. Typical eggs but also included bacon, waffles, toast, cereal, oatmeal and a variety of toppings. They also provided water bottles if needed. Limited ice available (no machine). We did check out at 1 pm the next day. Colleagues were kind. May stay again.
