Although the hotel room was clean it was dated and very small. We were surprised by the train whistle and airplanes . The traffic was not the fault of the staff but can be formidable. We had planned to stay for 2 nights but checked out after 1. The lack of the pool being open was also a large disappointment.
This AAA rated establishment hit all the right marks for us. Owners very friendly and helpful, Room clean with TV, AC and WIFI all functioning properly. Nice continental breakfast available in office. Traffic noise minimal. Comfortable bed, excellent water pressure in shower. Motel conveniently located near restaurants, grocery, a walking path and just a few miles north of Bend. Price about 1/3 the cost of rooms in Bend. We'd been on the road for 2 weeks and this was the best of all our lodging choices.
Needed a room for one night in central Oregon on our way to another location. Arrived at 10pm, greeted warmly and professionally. Room was spotless! The bed was very firm and the traffic is a bit noisy, but I'd stay again if I was passing through.
My family consists of myself, my fiance, our 5 month old daughter, and our 25lb dog. We recently relocated to Redmond for a job opportunity my fiance received. We stayed at the Redmond Inn while looking for a permanent residence. I booked 3 nights upfront...they were mediocre. However, it was closer to my fiances job than any other hotel. When our 3 nights were up, I walked over to the office the night before we were scheduled to check out to request an extension of our room. The woman very rudely said NO! NO Vacancies! I then went back to my room and looked online and to my surprise there were tons of available rooms to book. So I took it upon myself to book and pay for a room for an additional 3 nights online. The following day I was able to sign the paperwork with no problem..(she didnt even realize she told me there were no rooms but I booked one anyway). I did that one time after that so we stayed a total of 9 days. After the second time of booking online and then signing the following day the woman realized and in turn was angry that I booked my room online without her permission!!! What?!? Since when do you need permission to book more nights at any hotel?!? Felt very much like DISCRIMINATION!! The hotel is rundown, wallpaper peeling off walls, unpainted wood baseboards hammered on that looks unfinished, old asbestos popcorn ceilings, and rude discriminatory owners! Tell your friends...I know I will be!
My wife, dog and I rented this room after trying to find one in Sisters that allowed pets. Too expensive..but you get what you pay for! Decided on Redmond Inn from reviews and pricing. Hotel looked a bit shabby and old from Hwy 97 side, but I liked it since I was driving a long p/u with a 14' trailer. Was able to park in back too. Check In was good, front man was nice. $10 extra for pet. When we entered room, wife was immediately grossed out. Chairs were visibly stained, molding coming off bottom of walls around doors, stains on side of mattresses, tile floor was filthy. I used Clorox Wipes to clean floors. Crud in bath tub, wife wiped something brown from sink handle base. Upside was canal area was nice to walk dog. Room noisy though from traffic from road across canal and whomever was stomping around in the room above us. I thought it was pretty funny that the motel puts one of those "sealed for your protection" paper strips over the toilet lid and folded then end of the toilet paper roll, but failed to properly sweep or even run a dang Swiffer pad on the floor. Sorry Redmond Inn won't be returning there. Should be a $30.00 room, not $100.
