Pass on this one...

Although I made my reservation directly with the Springfield hotel, 30 minutes prior to my arrival, the front desk agent didn't even mention the hotel was undergoing a MAJOR construction project. Upon arrival & after check in I was directed to the hall & elevator--only then did I see hall floors covered in cardboard & inside the elevator too... with a makeshift notice taped to the wall to assure it was operational. I should have left at this point, but after working 6 hours & driving for 8 hours I was tired. I hoped for a clean tidy room... the bedsheets & pillows looked clean at least, but we really needed a blanket as well & there wasn't one in the closet. The upholstery on the side chair was badly stained & dirty--I hesitated to put my bags down without throwing a bath towel over it--but there were only 2 in the bathroom. The room air unit failed to keep a consistency in temp that was comfortable. I could go on but will just finish this up by saying I would have slept better in my car at a random truck stop. Read between the lines & laugh at the hotel name with me...

$300 a night for moldy windows my REWARD

First, called during severe ice storm, no rooms left at comfort inn, but I could have "member" rate at this hotel. $305 with tax. Room was bit tired looking, worn furniture. Worst was large amount of black MOLD inside of window! Thank god I travel with lysol. The heater filter was filthy also. The driveway, covered, had ice, nobody had even tried to make it walkable. I just looked up a room there for a saturday, and it was $98.00 for same room. ha ha choice rewards! Time to cancel them!

Good location. Enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed our stay!!! Good breakfast buffet with good selection. Great, friendly customer service from the front desk. Great location. Ample parking spaces, tidy, bright not dark. Easy access to highway. Recommended… will absolutely coming back!

DISCRIMINATING ON LOCALS

I am currently experiencing one of the hardest times of my life as I recently became unhoused and am living in my car in the Springfield/Eugene area, my hometown that I love dearly. A family member was kind enough to rent a room for me to get some much needed rest and recuperation as I am physically and mentally exhausted. She chose to get a room at this establishment where she has stayed several times in the past. When I attempted to check in and provided my ID at the front desk, I was promptly informed that there is a new rule that does not allow local individuals to stay with them any longer as it takes up space from tourists. THIS IS A PREDATORY DIRECT ATTACK ON THE UNHOUSED POPULATION AND IT IS A DISGUSTING MISUSE OF POWER. I am one of those cases where I was one bad month away from losing it all and despite being a college educated Ford Family Foundation scholar who actually has spent my career serving the unhoused population, I am now experiencing these discomforts for myself. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PREJUDICE DISGUSTING BUSINESSES THAT ARE PREYING ON THE WEAK IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS OR AT LEAST WE USED TO BE. Zero stars.

Drug use

Definitely got some hardcore drug users that stay here. I reported and office did nothing. Saw lady with chucks of tinfoil falling out of here arms and someone in the room shooting up. Lots of street walkers around.
