No longer a favorite on the Oregon coast

The last two days of August 2022, I took my sister there for one last trip together, as she was stage 4 lymphoma. Upon arrival, I noticed a few jugs of weed killer sitting on the check in desk and inquired about their intended use, and stated that I was there with my sister who was fighting lymphoma. The owner/manager said that he could hold off spraying until our departure from the facility, took my payment, and went outside and started spraying the weed killer from a large plastic tank loaded on the back of a tractor type vehicle. I know that my sister then went over and had words with the owner who then made a point of driving around our cabin, making several passes with the sprayer and then parked it right outside the sliding glass door of my room in the cabin. This was honestly the most callous display of disregard and concern by a business owner that I have ever experienced in my entire life. My sister lost her battle with lymphoma on November 5th, 2022, just a couple months after our visit there, and I keep feeling such remorse that I didn't immediately go to a different motel with her. The place has really become rundown under this ownership, and there were two rugs covering a gaping hole in the porch landing at the top of the stairs. I do have pictures of everything I have stated here.

Comfy cozy

Got a great deal on the economy king suit. It had everything we needed. It was clean, and comfortable. Had an HDMI cable that was bad. I called, and they had it fixed in less then 10 minutes. Traffic noise was not a problem. Far enough from 101. It was perfectly located for what we were doing this weekend. (Playing in the dunes)

We stayed in the retro motel portion of location, but they have cabins, an A-frame and apartments. Our room was comfortable, clean and cozy. The bed was really comfortable, the stay has gone above and beyond for us. I would recommend this motel to anyone who wants to be just south of Florence, near the ocean, sand dunes and the siuslaw river.

Rustic, quaint, but also nice and comfortable

This is a lovely little roadside motel they have made each room very. I loved the knotty pine paneling in the rooms. There is also a little fireplace in each room. Bed was extremely and I comfortable could not the believe pillows were fantastic. Darling little tables and comfy recliner. Small maintenance issue was quickly resolved. Family owned and operated. Perfect spot after a day at the beach. Recommend! It's quaint and cute but also very functional and the price is right!
