Very poor service from front desk
Nice motel, decent room, great location, fair price. Biggest problem was check-in: We were told the room was not ready, but I know for a fact that it was -- I saw the maids leave the room (and then clean two *more* rooms next door). The problem, I believe, is that the head housekeeper had not been by the room to verify its condition and report back to the front desk -- even though the front desk knew that we were waiting for nearly three hours in a hot parking lot (with an overheated and bored dog). They all have radios and phones, so why didn't the front desk proactively ask someone to check the room? I expect better. The front desk was dismmissive, with a repetiitive "our check-in time is 4pm." Have a little compassion, lady.

Great stay
Excellent location with beach access. Staff was friendly and our room was clean. Our only issue was that the shower in the cottage was small, and $20 per day per pet was excessive

Great overnight stop!
Beautiful room with a terrific view! Lightshow was fun, and we really liked the staff a lot - so helpful. Bed a little firm, but overall, great stay!

Amazing location!
My daughter and I wanted to take a little coastal trip and in my research I found this hotel. The location was perfect, our balcony faced the ocean and the light show. The rooms were spacious, but as others have mentioned there is no airflow. In the summer afternoons and evenings, it gets warm in the room. We ended up opening our sliding door and keeping our room door open (there was a small window in the stairwell), that helped a bit. A ceiling fan would’ve been nice. Also, the beds were not very comfortable. The free grab and go breakfast was perfect, we also grabbed coffee at a little coffee place just north on 101. Seriously this location was fantastic. We went up and down 101 for the beaches and views, just breathtaking. One other negative was something beyond the control of the hotel, there was a fog horn blaring constantly while we were there - every 20 seconds 24/7. My daughter was able to ignore it, but I couldn’t. The light show was a little dated and cheesy. Luckily it was fairly short so we could go back to hearing the ocean. Overall, if we head back that way we’d stay here again. It was worth the money to be able to walk to the beach.
