Rating based on the town of Gold Beach

There is very little in Gold Beach beyond the beach...and in late March it was very cold and rainy. The restaurants close early in the evening - 6pm for the BBQ place - which is understandable for such a small town. The scenery along the coast and the river is very beautiful and worth a stop. So with the understanding that there is not the volume of tourism to sustain high end hotels or services, this hotel is a fair choice. Pros: close to beach - short walk good in-room coffee generally clean room The upstairs fireplace common area The spa room - though I didn't use it, it does have a distant view of the ocean Cons: "breakfast"bags Poor wifi bathroom sink wouldn't drain "light show". Not sure what the point is of showing clips from ABBA's Mama Mia movie destroying the ocean front vista, but they do. If I were to stay in Gold Beach again, I would choose a hotel based on quality/price. It might be this one, but it might not.

Okay for a night

It could be so lovely if there was some thoughtful decorating and grounds maintenance. The door to the room is covered in rust and badly in need of a paint job. The room is just okay. It smelled unpleasantly of damp or something I couldn’t identify. The room was very chilly. In this location and for the price, a fireplace would have been nice. The floors badly need re doing because the finish is peeled off in strips. The TV was very small. A small “king size” bed, two dining table chairs, a small table and some large chests of drawers complete the decor. No pictures. It was too cold, wet and windy to sit outside, so an armchair or two would have been nice. There was certainly plenty of room. Overall it was clean and okay but lacked comfort and ambience. Probably won’t rush back.

Nice visit

Nice location, clean rooms, easy access to the beach and Spinners restaurant has excellent food and service. My daughter and I really like Gold Beach. The hotel was very clean and the locals were nice.

Best hotel on the coast!

For the price, this is absolutely the best, cutest and most unique hotel room you can find. It is so accommodating and comfortable and the light show was amazing! We felt so at home here and really didn't want to leave. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious, plus they have Starbucks coffee in the room! If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Nice stay

It isn’t fancy but it was clean and quiet. This hotel is affordable and in a good location. The staff was friendly and the view were great and you can walk right out from the patio. I would stay here again.
