Family Vacation
Every summer, my family and I would come to the coast and stay here. It was cheap to rent two rooms, to fit my big family. I was surprised to get clean rooms; I didn't think they would clean the room thoroughly, but I saw them strip the sheets, take the trash out, and do the other chores that needed to clean. It was a decent place to stay for a big-sized family.

Descent for a cheap place on the Coast
I was pleasantly surprised that our room (66) was very clean. I was kinda expecting bad news for how cheap it was. The room did smell a little like smoke, though it’s a non smoking room. But not too terrible and I personally hate cigarette smell. The room came with basic cable and a flat screen tv, a small fridge (in the cabinet under the tv) microwave and an eating area. The bed was firm but clean. No sore back in the morning, that was good. Pillows were too flat, need to be replaced. Could use a fan or air conditioner in the room. The bathroom was clean, towels were bleached and clean and had some samples of shampoo and conditioner. Though I suggest you bring your own...it was a super cheap product. Also the water temperature fluctuated every other minute from scalding hot to freezing cold. But hey at least you had a shower. LoL. Over all, I would stay here again, if just needing a cheap and clean place to lay my head.

Family owners care, and it shows
Pull in under the roof at the office, and first thing you see is a tall brick planter topped with a careful arrangement of fossils, beach rocks, and even petrified wood, plus flowers. Not a weed in it, nor a rock out of place. Yes, it's an older motel, with interesting colors in the rooms (loved the looked-original lavender tile wall in our bathroom), but everything worked fine. Fridge, microwave, modern TV; heat worked perfectly. Net got iffy at night; we used our phone as hotspot then. Room was scrupulously clean when we checked in, and after housekeeping. Walls are thin, but clientele was never rowdy during our stay. Shower temp did fluctuate once or twice during a long shower, but there is plenty of room to step forward out of the spray for the several seconds it takes to come back to normal temp. This does not seem to be a "residence" motel. No drug deals, no cars coming and going late at night, no "residents" hanging out, no dogs roaming off-leash. Just travelers. Which was a welcome change from many of the places we've stayed (and why we rarely stay at Motel 6s anymore). The family that owns it are all hard workers, and they're fantastic about cleaning/restocking. They do all the cleaning themselves, and you won't find a stray hair or bit of overlooked trash anywhere in the room. They live there, and they are frequently visible, though not intrusive. We were in the area house-hunting, as well as working on laptops. Before Money Saver, we'd stayed in a $100+/night Travelodge in Newport, then a $75 terrible motel (Summer Wind), then booked two nights here @ $60. This motel beat the others by a mile. We extended stay for about 10 more days. The hospital helicopter landed two times (neither were emergencies) while we were there, which was great to watch. And sometimes you can hear sea lions barking from the back parking lot :)

Tent walls are more sound proof
I booked at this Motel expecting and average budget motel, and discovered quickly it was sub average. There's a sign near the bathroom warning of taking showers and "how the water fluctuates, so to be careful". OK, at least they warn you, that's good, but with so many other issues, and extremely noisy, I regretted booking here.

Good Value
Cheapest room by half, but good value. We got a good nights sleep and the place is very clean, though old. The TV and internet worked fine. The walls and ceiling are thin, so just hope your neighbors are quiet.
