What a dump!
Horrible. Don't advise anyone stay there. We were in cabin #18 The Sequoia. Dirty, very musty odor, tattered bath towels, drapes falling off the walls, carpet dirty, linens worn thin, bed and pillows dirty. The whole cabin very creepy. Foam mattress uncomfortable. Bath products not good...shampoo etc.The breakfast room was also horrible...food was just ok, but the carpets stained and dirty and the fabric-covered chairs horribly stained and dirty. Irelands in desperate need of updating and remodeling. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN or recommend that anyone else stay there. It's a shame because the location is fantastic and the grounds very nice, but also in need of maintenance. The buildings have maintenance issues; run down, worn out. Some safety issues. .
an idyllic village in the coast of Ireland. Just amazing. Extremely nice and warm people, it is all.so tidy and cosy that it feels like to stop the journey and stay there forever. I strongly advise everyone to go there at least once to experience the feeling. Loved it!
We stayed in the Redwood, a small rustic cabin. It smelled like dog, the toilet needed intervention to stop running and the bed was mushy. The tv remote did not work properly and there was no TV channel guide in the room. It was not clean. The grounds as pictured must have been when there was a caretaker. She/he is long gone and sorely missed. Overpriced. We should have checked out the room first.
Was a time to get away with my dog so tried the cabin #5. Upon arrival I took my dog to the beach only to discover that the bathroom was flooding and floor bubbling up. Called the front desk, he asked if I needed a bucket! Problem didn't get fixed and no rooms available to move into. Food, co-webs-carpet full of animal stains. I have stayed many times over the years and never had this happen. Poor management now- oh they did give me a $25 credit for 6 days of filth and wet awful carpet, lol!
Rustic shouldn’t mean filthy. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. Opened a drawer filled with cobwebs and what might have been a rat dropping? Not sure, didn’t touch it. Upon check in had to go back to office for toilet paper as there was none on the roll in the bathroom. Office personnel seemed put out they had to walk down a hall to bring back one roll of the cheapest paper on the planet. The portapotty at the golf course had better stuff! The extent of room refreshing in 3 nights stay - the garbage was emptied once. But only one garbage can, not the one in the bathroom. Coffee packets were never replenished, which was probably a blessing. It was so cheap it tasted like brown, plastic water. We ended up buying filters and coffee to make our own. WiFi was non-existent. “Cannot join network” or “Incorrect password” every time you tried to log on. Same “helpful” office staff blamed our devices(iPhones/iPads) saying they sometimes need to be turned off and back on to find a signal. Baloney! They obviously spent as much on a wireless system as they do on everything else, next to nothing. We could see the ocean...sort of...over the bushes that needed trimming. Due to the lack of cleanliness of our room, there was no way we were going to use their oceanfront hot tubs. I don’t need a staph infection on top of everything else.
