Perfect Couples Getaway in a Quiet, convenient Location
We had a wonderful stay for my birthday get-away. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable which made it very easy to relax and enjoy our time together. Check in was smooth and welcoming. The location was perfect - close to everything in town, making it easy to explore while still feeling peaceful. We would absolutely stay here again! The only thing of note was it took all the hot water to fill the jetted tub (not really a negative though)

Our stay was 'fine'... Kinda 'meh'...
We checked into Unit 22 and it wasn't a great start to our visit. When we checked in we weren’t provided the S’mores kit that I ordered and paid for when I booked. This was partly my fault as I had forgotten I ordered and paid for it and didn’t ask when checking in. Then when we got to our unit, the door was wide open as were the windows. It’s a little chilly at the beach in Feb, so you can imagine how cold the unit was when we entered. The only heating source for the common room is the electric fireplace unit. We turned it on and it only blew warm air for a short period of time. We increase the desired temperature on the unit (well, well above the temp in the cold room) and it still would not blow warm air. After looking for instructions for the unit and not being able to find them we called the front desk. The young man working the desk tried to explain that their were buttons on the side of the unit to turn it on and off. I had to explain there were no buttons and there was a remote. I asked for instructions and he said he’d have to call someone and have them come to the unit to figure it out. We had plans in town and had to wait around…. We tried to turn on the baseboard heater in the little eating area to get some heat working - but could not get it to turn on. We called to ask if we needed to wait for the guy to show up (were told it could be up to an hour for him to come) and were told no, he could get in if we weren’t there. So we left to walk into town. I decided to stop into the office and let the young man working the desk know that the baseboard heater in the eating area seemed not to be working either - or we couldn’t figure it out and needed some guidance. When I tried to explain to the young man at the front desk that I wanted to let him know about a different heat issue (the baseboard), he interrupted me and said ‘yes, the guy knows about the heat problem’. I said, ‘how does he know about the new problem I haven’t even told you about yet’. He replied with ‘there’s a different problem?’ and I explained that yes, there was another problem I was trying to tell him about, but since he interrupted me, I couldn’t explain. The good news is that when we returned from town, the room was warm. It turns out to get the fireplace to blow warm air you have to turn the desired temperature up incredibly high. We needed to set the temp to 78° to get it to turn on. It was only about 70° in the room - at most, if I had to guess. Some instructions on the need to overdrive the temp setting on the unit to warm the room would have been helpful. So with the room reasonably warm, we settled in to curl up and watch some Olympics as a family. We’re very used to needing to log into streaming services to access content in hotel rooms - no problem there. The problem became that the WiFi signal isn’t strong enough to allow us to stream ANYTHING. We tried every service we have access to - that are pre-loaded on the TV. Some services load briefly, then buffer then say ‘no connection’. Most say ‘no connection’ from the start. Super frustrating. The internet connectivity isn’t strong enough to allow using the TV and the loaded streaming services available on the TV. The rest of our stay was uneventful. The rooms are a little 'tired' and could use with some updating, but once we finally got the heat sorted out, our stay was 'fine'.

Excellent stay at Inn at Haystack Rock
We had a wonderful stay here. We booked the 1 bedroom spa suite and it was perfect for a romantic getaway. It was unfortunate that the in-room fireplace was fake, not gas or wood burning just lights trying to imitate fire. But the tub was incredible. It was huge and very clean. I know how difficult it is to keep jet tubs clean so I filled the tub to just above the jets and ran it to clear it out before i took a bath and was shocked that the water ran through clean! Housekeeping seemed top-notch. The location was beautiful, a herd of elk walked right by the site. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit that was even thoughtfully prepared with firewood already. We would love to stay again.

Convenient and comfortable
Great location. We could walk into town, on the beach or both. Clean and comfortable. The chairs were not very comfortable and it would have been nice to have more than 2 water glasses. Not good for wine or a cocktail. The weather was beautiful and Cannon Beach was quiet. Great time.
