Our overall experience was perfect! The hotel lobby area accommodated our group very well. Breakfast was enjoyable. We had a large group celebrating the retirement of our daughter from the Coast Guard. Nathan, who worked the front desk was kind, helpful and very pleasant to work with. My only disappointment was the cleanliness of the shower. The shelf in the shower was filthy with multiple circles from shaving cream or shampoo bottles from the previous guest and dark hairs on the shelf and shower walls I was able to get cleaning supplies from the front desk.

This was a surprisingly nice stay. Rare find for a hotel that comfortably fits a family of 5. Great views of River. Kind staff. Pool and hot tub. Games, puzzles, and cards available. Decent breakfast. Good restaurants nearby. Free parking.

Hotel itself was clean and has been updated fairly recently, location is great. The service lacked the welcome factor. There were several machines out of order including 2 of four ice machines, juice dispenser and pancake machine. The breakfast was poorly managed, half the entrees were out, quality and freshness were lacking.

Very nice hotel
I’m a long time IHG Spire member and I love HI Express for many reasons. This one exceeded my expectations. There were delicious chocolate chip cookies out when we checked in after a long drive. Coffee was good and always available. They automatically put us in adjoining rooms. We were on third floor with a beautiful view of the river. It was very quiet, clean and beds were comfortable. WiFi worked perfectly. Parking was free, always available and so convenient . The hotel is right on the little trolley stop where you can catch a ride to end of town for $1, all day pass is $2. The pool was clean, hot tub nice. I was so grateful to have a laundry.. long story. The breakfast is typical HI Express, but very good, a lovely room with river view, clean and stocked constantly. There were several food items available in the lobby for purchase. I always enjoy that feature, especially the mini Häagen-Dazs ice cream cups! My highest compliments and appreciation to the lovely staff who works here. They were friendly, informative and helpful. We felt safe and quite welcome. I will stay here again in the future!

Had a wonderful time
Great place. Not one big reason, just lots of little ones. Shower head was not half plugged, room was CLEAN. Hotel staff was extremely courteous and nice. Continental breakfast was great, and especial clean. The gentleman attending to it was right there checking things, wiping things down and cleaning. As far as the food, it was good. Not great but hey, its free and better than most. We will be back.
