Great Customer Service
Holiday Inn express Grants Pass A (Jay, night desk clerk) Very nice experience. The night desk manager Jay was especially kind, great customer service! Also, I don’t have kids this young any more, but I appreciate this setup in the breakfast room (coloring books & crayons in the corner under the tv). Keeps the kids busy while Mom & Dad finish their breakfast and enjoy their coffee!

It’s the staff that makes this a good stop
Clean, except for the snot, hair and scum on the shower. Don’t stay on the side of hotel against 1-5 as the truck drivers like use their Jake break in the middle of the night, Above average breakfast—scrambled eggs (occasional pre fab omelets,) usually patty or link sausage and occasional bacon, biscuits and gravy, hot cinnamon rolls, make your own pancakes, yogurt, boiled eggs, dry cereal, assorted muffins and bread, assorted juices although they were out of orange juice for our last 4 days. Friendly helpful staff professionally dressed and always available. The maintenance man noticed we were struggling with the ice and loaned us his ice scraper. Noticed a man in a wheelchair with use of only one arm. The front desk staff got him his breakfast, cut it for him then had to return to her station. Then the little breakfast lady with glasses kept an eye on him and brought him whatever he needed.

Bad experience with police on site
Tried to check in but there was no staff another guest told me they had been waiting almost an hour to check in than three police cars showed up due to an intruder in a guest room half an hour later police came out of the elevator with a man that was handcuffed and half dressed wearing only pants. After four families checked in we went to our room only to discover it was very old the outlets did not work to charge my phone there was no freezer to freeze an ice pack and the bathroom was very dark with only a small light and with no fan. I won't stay at this hotel again not only is it very outdated it is not a secure place if someone can enter without permission into any room. The elevator door did not wait for me to clear out of the way it hit my arm when I was half way out, ouch! They charge a lot of money for a hotel that needs a major renovation!

Nice place to stay
Nice hotel. Looks like it's new. We stayed for three nights and got a junior suite for the extra room. Liked having a couch and coffee table. The bathroom was quite small but had great water pressure in the shower and the bathtub had a nice non-slip surface. The bed was comfortable. We were traveling with our dog and the room was clean and did not smell like animals but DID smell stale each time we came back after being out (even though we left the AC running all the time). It smelled like cigarettes whenever we came in although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. When we first checked in It smelled clean like bleach. It is in a nice place in town so we felt safe there. They served a small breakfast. One of the nights the upstairs neighbors were pretty noisy. Could hear running and things dropping on the floor but luckily by the time we went to bed the noise was quiet. The only real inconvenience was when we checked in at 3:00 p.m. our room was not ready and we had to wait until almost 4:00 p.m. to get into our room. All in all we would stay again.

Great choice in Grants Pass
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Grants Pass for 2 nights. We met some other friends there and used this hotel as our rendezvous spot. It was a good location to be in - just off I-5 and close to major shopping, gas and a good restaurant (Elmers.) Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming front office staff. Jaime was the lead person and was very warm and welcoming to us. They efficiently found our reservation and very helpfully found my IHG number to add to the stay so I could receive points for it. Jaime also assisted us on two special requests made by telephone for additional amenities. The room itself had 2 queen beds, a very good air-conditioner, television with remote, refrigerator, Keurig coffee-maker, and space to hang clothes with removable clothes hangars. The black-out shades were helpful in providing privacy and there was no noise from the freeway. The beds were very comfortable with 2 soft pillows and 2 firm pillows (noted on the pillow slips) for each of the two beds. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The sink was large enough to wash your face in. The bath amenities were all from pump bottles - hand soap and body lotion on the sink and shampoo, body wash and conditioner all 3 in the shower. They were all Dove brand amenities. The shower had good water pressure and drained well in both tub and sink. I had breakfast both days and was pleased with the selection and quality. They also had warm cookies (oatmeal-raisin and chocolate chip) available in the afternoons for check-ins. Overall, a first rate stay and very pleasurable. I will definitely return.
