My new favorite in Grants Pass
The hotel is brand new, probably less than a month old. So new in fact, I was told that many of the rooms had never been occupied. Id never stayed at a Hampton Inn before so I was pleasantly surprised. My room, the décor, the staff, and even the breakfast choices were excellent. I especially love the digital key feature . I was able to reserve, pick the room of my choice, check-in, unlock the door and check- out, all through the mobile app. There's no need to visit the front desk at all unless you have a question or need help with something. From now on will only stay here when visiting the area.
We stayed here one night before we made our way to the world famous but closed Crater Lake. The hotel is brand new. Loved the decor throughout. Beds were super comfortable. 24 hour coffee was good and strong. Breakfast was just like any other Hamptons. So not much to rave about. But why only 2 stars? I had prepaid for our room weeks ahead. But upon arrival, I was told to sign for a cc charge of $99.36. I said I had already prepaid. Clerk responded that they just have to confirm the payment. But she will leave an extra note that I had already prepaid. Lo and behold, 3 weeks later the charge is still on my card. Luckily I was fortunate enough to spot it on my statement before I end up paying twice for one night. Chase card was pretty easy to file a charge dispute. Got my charge back in a week.
The new Hampton Inn and Suites still needs work!!
This hotel is brand new and as per the front desk has many rooms that haven't been slept in yet. That being said this hotel still needs work. I had to chuckle when I checked in and found out the pool was still being filled. I wasn't using it anyway but that tells you how new it is. I am a Diamond with Hilton so I expect good service and the service was really good. Parking spot up front, got extra pillows but when I tried to grab a cup of tea they were out of cups so they went on an expedition to find some cups which we tracked down. The room is nice as they now have those sliding barn doors for the bathroom. I like them but my wife was not a big fan wondering how she could lock herself in which wasn't possible. (Does that say something about me?? HAHA) The rooms are a little bigger so they can accommodate the sleeper couch which is great. The rooms are always too warm in the winter so you have to turn on the air which in this case the new unit under the window rattled so we had to pile suitcases on top to stop that. The next morning the shower was fun as we got about 2 min of warm water then it turned cold. My wife again loved it as she had just filled her hair with shampoo. Oops. Breakfast?? Well lets just say that we went down to find out they were out of certain items (cheese omelets...how do you run out of food??) and the scrambled eggs that took 10-15 min to come out was equivalent to about 2 handfuls when they showed up. The potatoes that we luckily got before they ran out were about a 25 min wait for the people who came in after us. I keep flipping back and forth between poor and average for this hotel for a rating. Once everything is worked out I'm sure it will be fine and because of the front desk service I'll stay with average. Let me give you some advice Hilton. I would worry less about what kind of wrong flooring was being used around the pool and work on what is really important to guests. Clean it up guys.
This place opened only a few weeks ago. My husband and I were in the area and stayed here. Everything is brand new. I wouldn't be surprised if the room I stayed in had not been used before me. The pool wasn't done but being January who cares. There weren't many guests because I don't think people know this place is open. Everyone was friendly and professional. The breakfast was great. I will be back.
Nice and New!
My son and I stayed one night on Jan. 1st on our way down to Northern California. This place was great! Only opened a few weeks and everything is clean and new. Staff were happy and helpful and the best thing is that this hotel is right next door to In N Out Burgers. So awesome and convenient. Will definitely stay here again.
