TripAdvisor Ratings & Reviews
I stayed here a year ago and had a good experience, but things sure changed. I finally found the room in the poorly lit parking lot and there were cigarette butts everywhere outside the door. The place was filthy and I couldn't stop coughing. I tried a different room and it was the same. Luckily I was able to book elsewhere and heard of tales of people not being refunded their money and even worse, bed bugs. Glad I got in somewhere else.
Not as spectacular as decribed
Stunning Ocean Views = you can see it yes, but a bit far away. Service that are unmatched on the Oregon Coast = It was good Incredible Pacific Ocean and sunset views = The hotel next door spoils the night sky with lots of light. The Gold Beach Inn features the highest elevated view rooms in Gold Beach. Our 3rd and 4th floor rooms all have private oceanfront balconies. The levels below 3rd have only a little balcony and no privacy. Bed was very good (king-size) and room spacious.
Great view, comfy bed, otherwise yuck
Thin walls, old rug, curtains, shower. No soap in the shower. WiFi was REALLY weak. Nice beach walk nearby. King bed was comfy. The view was beautiful. We walked to dinner and got 15% off. No info in the room about the area.
The Ocean View was the best thing about this place!
Having to wait 20 minutes to check in should have been a sign. Arrived and then went to check in only to have to wait 20 minutes or so because the person behind the counter was on the phone dealing with a reservation. We only stayed one night. The views are beautiful. The light show put on by the place next door was a nice way to end the evening. Our room was filthy. Not sure what was growing on the ceiling in the bathroom or the shower curtain. Dusty, the fridge, behind the fridge and the surge protector they had plugged in are a fire hazard at best. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Not really sure if the bed linens were clean or not. Only two towels and worn towels at best. The amount of dog hair on the carpet on the balcony was pretty disgusting. Not sure if all the rooms are dog friendly or not, so if you have allergies or are allergic to pets please ask before you even think about staying at this place. The area right before going in the the bathroom smelled of dog urine and you could tell. We didn't even walk on the carpet without shoes on. The walls could really use some touch up paint, there were marks all over the walls. The recliners in the room were broken. This place should really read the framed picture they have posted in the rooms and maybe they would realize that with upkeep, cleaner rooms, upgraded towels, more than 3 pillows to a king size bed, maybe a better mattress one where you didn't roll to the center of the bed. An actual breakfast bar and not junk, then maybe they wouldn't have so many negative reviews. Is it really that hard to clean & dust rooms?! The shower is not meant for anyone over 5' 5" really. They also have hot tubs with ocean views, they are only open until 9pm.
Place is revolting
We stayed in a room upstairs next to reception. We had a bad feeling as soon as we humped our suitcases up the stairs with dirty carpets. The room was an insult. Dirty.. as per pictures. I wouldnt put an animal in there and they should hang their heads in shame. Crumbs in drawers, broken flyscreen, filthy carpet etc And this place wasnt even cheap! We were only there one night. Breakfast room was too small and basic. Our travelling companions who stayed in another room said they had never ever had such filthy accomodation. Unless they renovate do not stay here.
