We discovered this wonderful location years ago when we decided to take a trip up the west coast. It was highly rated , and highly recommended. We were not disappointed in that choice. We loved the Yachats area and its location on the coast. It was an atmosphere of quiet , simple, clean and enjoyable comfort. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and relaxing. The cost is always affordable and they have discounts for veterans and food donations. The staff is incredible and helpful. They make your stay relaxing. We have chosen Fireside Motel as our go to location for our last 3-4 anniversary get away trips to the Oregon Coast and as a longer stayover on trips up the West Coast. Wish we had the time to stay longer. WE WILL BE RETURNING. :)

A Hidden Gem along the Oregon Coast
Everything about our stay here was a delightful experience. Staff was so kind and helpful. Room was SPOTLESS! Bathroom was SPOTLESS! Bed, linens and pillows exceeded out expectations. Large rooms, quiet, right on the water, sunsets breathtaking. Will stay here again......but longer than two nights!

Beautiful refresh inside and out!
Wonderful room refresh. The Pelican room was wonderful, as always. Our dog Bessie May was so happy to return! We have stayed here may times over the past 30+ years, at least once or twice a year!

Terrific Oregon Coast Experience
Stayed in the Brown Pelican room in late July 2025. We don’t travel with our pets so we rarely stay at establishments that aggressively advertise as being pet friendly. We didn’t know what to expect of the room with respect to pet doors or pet hair. The room was amazing! No odors. No pet hair. No dirt or bugs or anything that might be off putting. The beds were comfortable with ample pillows. Everything was clean and perfect. The grounds were well maintained and nicely landscaped. All staff members were courteous and helpful. The property is only a few feet from the ocean and the coastal walking trail right behind the motel is perfect for people of all ages. As an added perk, just a few feet away from the motel are some of the best tidal pools we have ever seen on the Oregon Coast (try to visit them during a negative low tide for the best experience). Overall - a fantastic place to stay on the Oregon Coast. Great room and staff. Very close to Yachats. Convenient distance to Newport. Very near some excellent hiking.

Courteous staff from beginning to the end!
From our first phone call to make reservations to turning in our keys we felt important! The room was filled with all of the amenities that made our stay pleasant from the bedside lamps that were also night lights to the abundance of plugs for our electronics. The bathroom was sparkling clean with ample space to put our toiletries. We appreciated the coffee/tea service in the room and the microwave and refrigerator. Being steps from the Ocean meant the most!
