Wonderful experience
I stayed in room number #135, and I liked it. Because in morning when I open the curtains I can see beautiful mountains. By the way I forget to mention that the manager was kind and check in process was quick. Hotel/manger/ housekeeper everything was great.

Not quite what we hoped for
I always try to be as positive as I can be with my reviews, especially of small independent businesses. We knew from other reviews that this was not a top-rate hotel. But our room (#140) didn't meet even our low expectations. It was on the west side of the building, with our room entrance about 20 feet from a run-down old building with a big pile of junk next to it. Because of the west exposure in late June, the room got very hot in the evening. The wall-mount air conditioner cooled the room well, but it was old and very noisy. Even when the noisy refrigeration unit kicked off, the noisy fan continued. We finally had to shut the air conditioning off completely and just endure the heat through the night. The room was advertised with wifi, but we were only able to connect one tablet to it. When we tried to connect another device, the wifi wouldn't connect (S Oregon's notoriously bad Spectrum "service"). The manager very helpfully tried to assist, but he wasn't able to get us connected. This was maybe a $60 room renting for $100/night. We should have spent a little more and gotten much better.

Honest, helpful and comfortable.
The hotel itself is a 60's vintage but it has been kept up nicely. I called them from the road when my GPS failed and I it was 10pm. They took the reservation over the phone and waited until I got there to charge my card. That was refreshingly respectful. they even helped me park my truck and trailer in a lot across the street. The room was dated but very clean and had everything every other economy motel would have. It was an efficiency type room that could hold a family of 5 with cooking ability. They only charged me the single price. The AC was so strong I had to switch over to heat for a bit but that was fine. The bed was great and I slept through the night fine. The managers were some of the most gracious and helpful people I have come across in 40 years of traveling. This was a business trip but my wife and I are planning a vacation to Oregon and if we are around Lakeview when we stop we will be staying with them.

Clean, comfortable 2-star motel
With few choices of lodging in Lakeview, we booked directly, by telephone, with this property. The reservation was easily made. The Front Desk experience was friendly and efficient. There is nothing fancy about this motel and it is an older model, but it is CLEAN and WELL RUN. The bed was the most comfortable mattresses I've slept on away from home in the last 10 years. I would stay here again.

Friendly Owners, Rundown Hotel
The owners of this hotel are very friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself needs a overhaul. The stairs up to the rickety balcony where we went to get into our rooms were steep and narrow and difficult to negotiate with suitcase or cooler. The room was clean and comfortable but no breakfast was offered, poor WiFi, pillows hard and lumpy, good hot shower.
