Great staff and a good full breakfast. My wife loved the bed, I couldn't tell the difference. The rooms are on the smaller side. The guide on the TV didn't match what was actually on. Good place for a service dog. I had asked for 1st floor quiet side. They gave us the 2nd floor. Ice machines are on 1 and 3.

Pleasant Base to Explore the Area
I just returned home from a thirteen night stay here; I was visiting family in the area. I chose a larger room on an upper floor (there are only three floors), and it worked out very well. The room was quite large, with a comfortable bed, large flat-screen TV, desk with chair, sofa, side chair, coffee table, microwave, "big boy" fridge, bar sink, coffee maker, and ensuite bathroom (with great water pressure in the shower). The staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. Breakfast, included in your room rate, had enough choices for anyone, from instant oatmeal to make-your-own waffles to the daily hot egg dish (often scrambled eggs or a cheese "omelet"). This hotel is located in a little "complex" among multiple other hotels, a Denny's (with a sports bar, no less), a gas station, a convenience store, and Hop Valley Brewing Company, which serves decent food as well as their beers. It's just a short drive to get to a local mall, a bank, a hospital, a Fedex store, and a very good urgent care place (ZoomCare in the mall). If you want to stay here at a busy time of year, it's wise to reserve in advance. Everyone stays here, from families with young children to firefighters battling the blazes in Oregon, business travelers to folks who had to evacuate due to the wildfires. There's a pool and an exercise room, but I used neither. Negatives? There's only one elevator. That's not usually a problem but it can be, depending on the time of day. Housekeeping can be a tad eccentric and would sometimes forget items. The air conditioning can be noisy; that didn't bother me, as I sleep with a fan on at home, but it might be too loud for light sleepers. All in all, a fine choice if you're going to be in the Springfield/Eugene area.

From Exhausted Arrival to Refreshed Departure, we loved our brief stay!!!
Friendly, well-trained, helpful staff esp Tonya in their delicious and well-stocked breakfast room and Steven who showed us our ice-cold ac, clean-smelling preview room and let us have it, thanks!!!!!! The plan on our long drive was to go as far south as we could, then find a place. BUT we went past that point and finally made it to Springfield/Eugene, hungry and exhausted. The first place we previewed looked good in the photos but stank. This was the second place we checked out, and it totally checked off our list of requirements: friendly staff, clean smelling room, ice-cold ac, comfortable beds, blackout curtains (behind the fake blackout curtains) pool and hot tub (which we were too exhausted to use). The delicious, immaculate and well-stocked breakfast room was a wonderful surprise. So if you are in the position we were in last night, look no further!

Terrible customer service
So I called in advance telling the staff member that answered the phone that I wanted 2 nights. My big rig broke down and was in the shop getting work done. So I caught a taxi over to this hotel. When I got here I had my luggage in my hands, and the staff member (Markus) wouldn’t open the doors. Instead he buzzed me over the intercom and said in an extremely rude tone “WHAT DO U WANT!” I said, “I called in advance about wanting a room for two night.” Markus eventually let me in, but continued to be extremely rude to me in tone and demeanor. I asked if he was this rude to all the customers, or am I just special??? He then proceeded to tell me that I was the rude one and proceeded to kick me out of the hotel, even going so far as to call security on me. So I walked across the street and got a room at the Marriott. The Marriott was a little more pricey, but not after I got a military veterans discount. The staff at the Marriott was super nice and respectful, the customer service has been excellent. If you have a choice, Marriott acts like they actually value you as a customer.
